The Dolphin Surf was launched today in Europe.

Ian Guider on Today FM said this evening that the top level spec (44.3kWh) will be €25k in Ireland (lower spec 22 or 23k - didn't quite catch the exact figure) and will manage 322km WLTP but incredibly BYD are claiming a range of 507km in the city!

I spoke with BYD Wexford today and they said the expect it by end of year but nothing confirmed. He said they’d usually hear a month in advance.

It doesn't look like there'll be any grants for Chinese built cars. although it'll be mid-August before we start hearing which cars will get them.

That will cause some delays to deliveries while people wait to see whats happening. To try to counter that some brands have been offering their own 'grants' - dealer applied rebates essentially. MG is definitely one. I could see BYD follow.
