Limerick were 7-3 ahead , probably Dublins most influential player is sent off. The game is effectively over until it wasn't, impossible to switch back on after switching yourself off.

On tomorrow, I can't for the life of me see Kilkenny bet. It's all about full forward lines these days and Kilkenny will have Tipperarys measure. I reckon Forde, McCarthy and McGrath will all be replaced

There's rumours they didn't tailor their training for the Dublin game, basically used it as a tune up for the semi final vs Kilkenny, paid a serious price for it.

Quite possible. Also quite possible they will rack up 2-12 between them before they go!

Not so sure about that. Let's see what happens anyway.

The key to tomorrow is getting out of that hump we always find ourselves in as we get to 40 minutes mark. I've lost count of the number of times over the last couple of years we seem to just fall asleep around that point and let teams back into it or to run away from us.

It happened against Galway in the Leinster final, likewise Clare in the semi last year, in the semi and final in 2023. It happens far too often and any good side beats us if it continues.

I think the Limerick Dublin match was initially fixed for Thurles but Limerick were happy enough to go to croke park and get a run out before the kk match even tho Dublin footballers were on afterwards. As someone said I'm hindsight the writing was on the wall. Did I hear they played 11 matches and only won 4. It's very hard to turn it on and off like a light. For all the talk about the conveyor belt it definitely wasn't as strong as many believed. Like the great Dublin or kk team in a few years time they will really come back to the pack. The value they got from that crop was incredible to be fair

There's definitely an air of confidence around the county. The narrative is this tipp team is in bonus territory and this kk team is on the road 4 or 5 years and is very settled. If tipp win they had no fear and they thrived in croke park. One thing is for certain in my opinion there's definitely much more pressure on this kk team to win.16 and 19 will be in some players minds but two all irelands to Limerick and especially that semi final last year was a really sore one. From talking to a few lads in the camp last year against Clare really hurt them. It's absolutely vital they take the chances tomorrow. I'd expect kk to definitely go after goals. This is a fresh tipp team with no real baggage where as kk have lots of hurt. Loads of motivation in that kk dressing room

Herity Wasn't the best keeper we had but from talking to lads in cuala they had unreal time for him. He also put the foundations down in kildare. Henry isn't as good managing as he was playing. That's just the way it goes. Herity has the fowards moving everywhere but they definitely know what their doing. Last thing we need is two of our lads going bald headed for a ball and it breaking it behind to a tipp lad. They will try pull huw out of the 3 position. They will try bamboozle pur backs.I think maybe Mccarthy could lose out for someone like Tynan to try disrupt our midfield who have being excellent. There's absolutely no way they will leave richie reid lose and vice a versa with maher. Eoin Cody if he isn't involved needs to get out of the corner and get himself Involved and learn from last year with Adam hogan. I'd be hopeful that if mossy or tj get the right ball they can do harm inside. Ball has to be quick going in before the cavellery get back and not pricking around too long. It's a huge day for Mullen who was very disappointing this time last year and the all Ireland the year before that. He is very accurate when he gets the ball out near midfield. Billy Ryan needs to continue his good form but donnelly really needs a big day and ask ronan maher questions. Unfortunately puckouts are such a huge part of the modern game. I'd much prefer to see kk push up on the puckout. Tipp have no doubt identified the weakness in the kk puckouts. They wiI let scruff go short at times before trying to force a turnover because some of our defenders wouldn't be as comfortable on the ball and alot of our puckouts are so predictable. Route one with the ball hanging for a few seconds or short to corner back and back to scruff and then route one. It's an awful pity after 10 years in the goal he can't ping puckouts to players looking for it. I heard reliabily after spending time in training working on puckouts with management some senior players had their own meeting and said this isn't going to happen in match days. It's very obvious with the puckout out it's try get something off the break. I'd expect a big difference in puckouts in both teams.

It's hard to fall out with the team selected. No doubt they will really target Shane Murphy after missing so much but he was excellent up to the injury.hopefully plenty of work has gone into the tipp puckout and movement.

This is a a coming tipp team and I'd be disappointed if we couldn't beat them with the experience we have. This is the last throw of the dice for alot of these lads. There was huge talk lawlor was going travelling earlier this year so if he does go we'd be in sire straits.Best of luck to both teams tomorrow. Hopefully people get off their holes and go support the lads instead waiting for them to lose to come on here⁷

Doubt that in modern day professional sport in which they prided themselves often.

You always play what's in front of you.

Hopefully Mossy is right today, him and Cody could make hay off the breaking ball from TJ and then Billy off the shoulder as well.

Safe travels to everyone - let's hope we are celebrating at 6 this evening. If we can keep if going for the full 70 think we'll have enough to get over the line

We'll probably get the answer in an autobiography in a few years.

Time to deliver players management and supports no more ifs and buts we should of done this or that 70min plus performance and we’re in a final against a very unproven cork team

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,238 ✭✭✭kk.man

The answer is in front of us. Kiely biggest failure in Limerick was to recycle his team. Google Limerick minors of 2012/13.At least 10 household names are still present in 2025. Cody's 2000 team was recycle at least twice till his last in 2015. Limerick are a spent force and a Kilkenny journor team would have beaten Dublin as Cork showed.

Best of luck to both kilkenny teams today and management. Hopefully we’ll be celebrating tonight.

Set up beautifully. I know we will be outnumbered in the stands but what counts is out on the turf. No excuses today. Should be ideal conditions, pitch is immaculate as usual. Big day for Lyng and the lads Let's get it done.

TWo corner backs roasted , get blanch on and paddy in the corner

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 860 ✭✭✭Conversations 3

Shocking stuff for the last 20 minutes.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,131 ✭✭✭kksaints

Full back line in real trouble. 2nd goal was easily avoidable but both backs went for it and missed it. Forward line went out of match somewhat once it started to rain. Huge 2nd half at stake now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 589 ✭✭✭usualstripes

Our half back line is being pulled out intentionally to leave 2 on 2 or 3 on 3 and we haven't coped well. I'd like to see something similar up front for us so we give our full forward line a chance. We will create chances but we need goals, and I would say 2 if not 3 of them

We are soft. Management have not changed anything. 3 goals conceded and could have been 5. We have not looked like scoring a goal.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,615 ✭✭✭✭dastardly00

Some really poor defending in the first half for the goals. Two players going for the one ball, players being caught out of position etc. etc.

Molloy & Kenny dominated the midfield for the first 15 minutes but then Tipp got on top.

Adrian Mullen has been absolutely anonymous. He doesn't look up for the fight.

John Donnelly and TJ absolutely dying with their boots on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,180 ✭✭✭BQQ

    hard to stomach

Well on top for most of the half and we’re 4 down

Even Tipp fans around me can’t believe they’re ahead

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 757 ✭✭✭bamayang

inability to get a short pick out to the half back line is source of much of the problem.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,744 ✭✭✭me89

Mullen has not been in it at all, other forwards going well in fairness you would take 16 points in a half

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 860 ✭✭✭Conversations 3

Will the Kerry man replace Mullen at halftime?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 860 ✭✭✭Conversations 3

We'll be waiting a long time for an All Ireland after that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 270 ✭✭Pigeon Chaser

That was very disappointing. The game was there for winning. Lots of unforced errors - particularly with a numerical advantage. Simply not good enough.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,740 ✭✭✭Village87

Deeegan and Reid are no use in these big games. Consistently found out

    Bottled it. Fact.

Safe to say my confidence in the full back line was wrong
