Thats pretty standard for big / in demand events to stop touting etc.

Same here. My wife bought me my ticket so it's in her Ticketmaster account. I'm wondering what's going to happen if, as a lot of people are saying, ticket transfer won't be turned on for this gig. Can I log into her account on my phone and show the ticket that way? Do they check IDs at the gate? It'd be a disaster to be turned away having paid for flights, hotel etc. God, I miss the old days of physical tickets bought down at the record shop! I've been going to gigs for over 40 years and this has been the most stressful ticket experience ever, by far.

You can log in and add it to your google or apple wallet. Wont be any ID checks

Some tickets onsale now on TM.

Screen view only, stage not visible.

    £160 😆

You are a khaki coloured bombardier, it's Hiroshima that you're nearing.

    Seen that

Where's there's money to be made and all that

Couldn't justify paying for a 'screen only' view

I haven't been this excited about a gig since I went to Metallica's S&M2 for my honeymoon. Can't believe its next week!

Now that's an epic gig history

You'll have a great time. Send in plenty of pics

This one's getting close, forecast mixed for Saturday.

Metallica already in Birmingham, taking no chances with flight delays!!

Gonna be an epic day, buzzing for it now. Running order kept under wraps, will add to the excitement on the day I'm sure.

Realised today that the only time I was ever in Birmingham was also for a Black Sabbath gig, The Last Supper in 1999 with support from an up and coming band called System of a Down, wonder whatever happened to those lads!!

Might just be a stingy bugger and wait til the day after when the stream might appear in 'other parts'

Sure social media will be full of clips all day Saturday

    Enjoy everyone that's going

Saw Sabbath in 2017 and had a ticket to that ever changing Ozzy 3Arena show that never happened

yeah normal enough. Happened previously for shows

Plan to make a day of it..the fridge is stocked and phone will be on silent..its a pity about the 2 hour delay but pretty much most of my favourite metal bands are playing..have seen most of them Live before except for Sabbath/Ozzy so its a must see for me..Fingers crossed it will be Epic!

It's been a busy few days for them. They got awarded "Freemen of Birmingham City"

    Soundcheck was happening today.

I could have got a seated ticket but it was in the hundreds of sterling. Still undecided about paying for the stream. I was not impressed with Sharon's comments about Kneecap but proceeds go to the charities - apparently - so I might yet as it would make a good couch day with a fridge full of beer.

Thats great to see..Ozzy looks ecstatic😂...thats my take on it aswell..will make for a great couch day so happy to pay the few quid ..actually would have paid €100 to watch the stream Just dont tell Sharon or there will be another Final Final gig next year!..i like that they have kept the running order under wraps but any spoilers from the soundcheck?😂

Just some (apparent) clips of GnR and Tool rehearsing and another where Ozzy sounded reasonably good but I cut it as I didn't want the spoiler myself if I do watch on Sat. This is the stage.

All ive heard is GnR were rehearsing a Sabbath song during the soundcheck for their Villa Park gig last week..obvs i wont name it but after youtubing the original id say its made for them..Also cant wait to see what Metallica and Pantera come up.with seeing as Rob and Zakk have played with Ozzy for years.

Is the stream beginning live at 3pm or starting at 3pm with delayed coverage?

i.e. at 3pm we are seeing whatever band actually played at 1pm

I'm hoping Helen from Wales got a ticket close to that stage

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 432 ✭✭Jambonjunior

Show starts at 1, stream runs on a two hour delay.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,080 ✭✭✭✭Degag

Meh that’s not great. Will probably still buy it though

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,571 ✭✭✭Wrongway1985

I think in typical Tool fashion their set won't be shown. I believe they not on the poster for the stream allowing the delay to somewhat catch up eventually.

Surprised at the choice Halestorm have gone with but it's cool maybe also suggests Dio stuff won't be on the agenda.

GnR soundchecked something that isn't It's Alright also a bit of a surprise wonder if Axl will do that justice.

With the amount of performers what length of time are we thinking will be allocated?
I’m guessing only 15-20 mins even for headliners like Metallica/Slayer so only time for 3/4 songs. At least one of which will be a BS song.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 286 ✭✭Layne

Pantera to cover Planet Caravan?? Just a guess. Was on the Far Beyond Driven album.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,571 ✭✭✭Wrongway1985

Tbf they covered a few over the years, Hole in the Sky and Electic Funeral which is on Nativity in Black compilation albeit those were with Dimebag and not songs Zakk did regularly with Ozzy afaik.

Rumoured line up. Gonna wait to see how the stream is performing before I buy. Saw on Facebook that there is a pub in Portlaoise streaming the whole thing on a big screen, would love something like that if I was anywhere near hand. Enjoy, everyone thats going.
