Did he have a castdown voice to mark the departed one?

Tourists have realised there is no accommodation available in Ireland at a half reasonable rate. Solution is to reduce VAT to 9%. Cause is not discussed. Only the decline.

No. He sounded happy enough, but I suspect he would have prefer to be watching proceeding and eating Strawberries & Cream at Wimbledon.

But if he’s self employed he doesn’t get that from RTÉ and what you’re describing sounds closer to a defined benefit pension so that contribution would go into a central pot that is used to pay for all the pensions of that type.

The exit payment isn’t anything to do with any RTÉ pension. It would be like a bonus payment and would be included in his remuneration.

We are talking about Kevin's total remuneration. He is an employee of RTE.

RTE going on about the lack of GPs. Again there is no discussion of why and how to fix the situation.

Ah, Mr. Bakhurst, gotcha now. Even still, his pension contributions wouldn’t be counted in his remuneration. It doesn’t go to him.

No one talks about pension contributions when discussing what they get, certainly not in the public sector, as there would probably be riots, and someone doing it in the private sector would be akin to wearing lifts in their shoes, embarrassing.

I don't know why you think it does not go to him. It is Defined Contribution pension. It all goes to him or his spouse etc.

AFAIK RTÉ had been splitting up the exit / loyalty payment over the final few years of the contracts for top earners, obviously they can no longer do that, as they now have to produce them yearly.

But to suggest that his exit / loyalty payments don't in some way make the RTÉ pension negligible would be an iffy argument, especially considering Pat Kenny's final payment from RTÉ in 2013.

Joe decided to be a contract over a member of staff, he knew the differences when he signed on the dotted line.

Same production team. Surprise surprise, the bad lines continue on.

Can someone please write a brief how-to on how to perform a sound check and send it into RTE?
