Anyone have any experience of the half marathon. I've walked up to the pollock holes and a very small bit up the cliff walk but thats really it. That first bit is pretty uphill but what's it like after that?

I ran it last year, fairly steep in parts and was quite windy. Some nice scenic views.

Only really done halfs on relatively flat courses so I'm beginning to reget my decision looking at that 😂

I suppose just need to dial it back, get to 17k and enjoy the spin home.

Ha-ha yeah its a bit hilly alright. Take it easy on the first few and walk at the first drink station. It's one of those courses that seems like its uphill both ways… Best of luck.

I've done it the last three years in a row, and this year felt the hilliest yet, even though it's the exact same course! Really like the event... more hill training needed for next year though I think!

It's definitely hilly alright but the views were spectacular.

I didn't know what to expect but I ended up tagging behind the 1:45 group until about 16.5k, then upped it on the way home.

All my training prior had been for full marathon distance but i have to say that I really enjoyed the shorter format and the event as a whole.
