    Is there a site, other than the UK rainfall map, giving reasonably accurate forecasts for Ireland? It seems like Met Eireann's been wrong basically for weeks now, on a daily basis. Their predictions show no rain in our area while it's bucketing outside here in West Kerry. Even right now, the UK site shows a big streak of rain over the area lasting all day, Met Eireann's saying stopping in a hour. No chance.

    Balmy night getting no lower than 17C but temperature dropped after 09.00 to a low of 15.8C and back up now to 16.6C , low stratus almost scraping the ground, probably is on any bit of a hill. Light mist blowing in the wind at times but nothing registered in the gauge here near Tralee.

    In reply to Igotadose above, I would find all the models give a slightly different projected forecast of rainfall, where, when, how long, how much etc sometimes slight differences and sometimes quite vast. I think most forecastors from talking to a couple use a wide range of models, will often have some favourites and favor some models in particular set ups and even then can be out a bit. The more you look at models for forecasts the more you realize it takes a bit of experience and learnt knowledge of how the models perform in certain areas and even at that they can encounter problems, bad data but are improving in certain quarters too.

    So, https://www.meteociel.fr/modeles/gfse_cartes.php is a good place to start, it has a whole range of long range and Hi Res models that you can compare, Long range anything from a few days out to a week away or so for a rough guide and Hi Res up to about 48hrs but even these can change considerably even in 24hrs in certain tight calls.
