Well we have had a minister that can't speak a word of Irish of late, I do believe.

Joe has 36 hours to get the Irish state to force through a law change to make e scooters have a licence plate

    Tip for this lad

There's not an escooter in the world that could survive a smack with your car. Just sayin

I see people breaking every single law every day regarding e-scooters. Very young teenagers on them, carrying passengers, bombing along at 50km at least, when they're supposed to be restricted to 20km, on the footpaths, no helmet, and on and on it goes.

i've never met anyone 'afraid to go out' because of eScooters.

John O Donovan and the Emerald Elvis already on today.

Ann from Cannes, that Irish woman living in Birmingham for 60 years, the nervous Dub with the crying grandchild, Aubrey, Kilkenny Elvis and many more must be lined up over the next few days.

One thing a lot of them have is their faces/heads covered, even in the sweltering heat of last week.

Tells you all you need to know. Put reg plates on them, and they'll be getting covered up as well

Hold on, this lad is an e biker, says he has an assist bike. What side is he arguing on?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,325 ✭✭✭✭BPKS

This is an old school Liveline topic.

A load of angry old people with lots of rambling ideas about a topic all convinced they have the solution to the problem

Edit - I'm teeing you up Brian Scan

I only go up to Dublin for gigs and matches,

And the amount of e scooters and bikes that fly around the quays with no lights or helmets is unbelievable,

Straight through red lights etc, no fear of their own vulnerability, and they're not all kids

Dog was right to bite him.

    Turnip, my arse !

Was in Amsterdam recently and not an e scooter to be seen. Was heaven. I assume they're banned there?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,325 ✭✭✭✭BPKS

"Like any old story, he throw a turnip at the dog"

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 816 ✭✭✭Dublin Calling

You need to get the brain out of the dog to test it for rabies. Joe, you are missing out the gruesome facts.

    It's too easy, isn't it?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,430 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

"One thing a lot of them have is their faces/heads covered."

So true. And it's the speed merchants that I notice have their faces covered up. No helmet though.

Denis Hickie was a former Leinster and Ireland rugby international. Great player. He was very fast. I wonder did he get that speed from running away from crazed dogs as a youngster.
