Don't forget your factor 50 folks.

Hats off to Aiken, plenty of relatively initiatives that I haven't seen at outdoor concerts in Ireland in place for the weekend. Family friendly areas, neurodivergent friendly areas, water filling stations etc.

Thinking of cycling to this on Sunday if I can get a last min cheap ticket. Wondering if I might get the bike into the park and be able to cycle up closer to where the gig is on and save the walk through the park?

just cycle up and watch it from outside. Plenty of spots with good sound and decent view

might consider doing that, will I get a bike into the park though?

it’s a public park. You can bring a bike anywhere except within the fencing of the concert area.

Train is an option too. Car parks in Maynooth and Leixlip ?

What was the sound like at the gig last night?
Any SM posts I’ve seen, it doesn’t sound great, hoping it’s better in reality this evening.

I had no problems with the sound. Brutal queues for the bar though, could be an hour in it.

If it's a 45min walk, then that map certainly ain't to scale, unless it's for tortoises.

it would be 40 min walk with crowds if coming in from island bridge entrance

I've seen a lot of people complaining about the bar.

Also none of those cardboard cup holders to help you carry multiple drinks either.

    WHAT A GIG ....

    Bloody brilliant - loved it.

Troubadour on before him are very good too.

We had gold circle so view and sound were excellent .

Bar to the left of the stage was chaotic , food stalls and bar to the right were mayhem.

    Weather really helped.

A great night , and really surprised by who flipping great he is....

    " I love you dublin" 😁

Really enjoyed the gig. Thought Turnpike Troubadours were excellent. I was hoping they would play The Bird Hunters, much to my surprise they opened with it.

Can’t comment on the bars as I wasn’t drinking but seen plenty of those cardboard holders, mobile staff selling cans etc.

It was around a 4k walk from the Parkgate Street entrance to the Gold Circle Entrance just off the Ashtown Gate Road. Didn’t mind the walk as I was expecting it, seen lots of people complain about it but to be fair to Aiken they had it it out there that the walk would be about 45 mins.

I'm one of those people who never heard of him until these gigs.

What kind of demographic go to his shows?

Same here. Looking at the crowds heading along into it, it seemed to be your standard Taylor Swift type audience, but with cowboy hats.

Pop concert crowd with a western twist really.

The majority was 18-24 year olds - both male & female. Plenty of Americans too that I'd guess were all 30+

Had a brilliant night last night. Some atmosphere and i sang and danced my little cowboy booted feet off. Im older and smarter when it comes to footwear so mine stayed on all night. Weather was perfect.

I’d booked the marathon bus to the papal cross and it was money well spent. There were plenty of 40 somethings and above at it. But we were smart enough to stay a bit further back where there was more room 😉

I thought the sound last night was bang on. I’ve been to concerts here before and it’s been sh1te.

Edit: Zach called up a fella from the crowd to play a song with him. Fella introduced himself as George - everyone cheered. Zach asked where he was from and George said Liverpool - everyone booed. Zach’s reaction was priceless 😂
