    Introducing Hibernian Armaments & Munitions

We are a relatively recent registered firearms dealer in Ireland, but our passion for shooting and firearms goes back decades. Whether it's precision target shooting, responsible pest control, hunting, historical reenactment, or collecting rare arms—we live and breathe this stuff.

Our mission is simple: to support Irish firearm owners with high-quality gear at fair, realistic prices. We know how rising costs have impacted our sport and livelihood, and we're doing everything we can to make shooting more accessible and affordable for everyone.

One of our key specialties is sourcing and importing rare or hard-to-find firearms into the Irish market. If there’s something you’ve been after but haven’t been able to get your hands on—reach out. We’ll do our best to make it happen.

We’re proud to represent and supply the following brands:

Bavarian Tactical Systems (exclusive Irish dealer) – Modern AR-15 style sporting rifles in both .223 and .22LR, available in restricted and non-restricted formats. We’re happy to build to your spec—custom orders welcome.

Holosun Optics – Renowned red dots, magnifiers, and optics for both pistols and rifles. Reliable, rugged, and trusted by pros.

MTS Targets – High-quality AR500 steel targets, including gongs, knockdown plates, Texas stars, and more—ideal for range training, club use or just zeroing with an audible cue(without having to paste your targets of course).

Please note, we operate from a closed premises with no walk-in retail—but we’re highly responsive online and happy to answer any questions by PM. Just drop us a message (helps keep this thread tidy too!).

Thanks for the warm welcome—we look forward to serving Ireland’s shooting community for many years to come.

    Happy shooting,
    The Hibernian Armaments Team

P.S. - And here are some little bits of eye candy to showcase some of our products and past acquisitions for customers 😁

A nice little Uberti 1871 Rolling Block:

Another BTS-15, this time a semiauto in 22lr in a more retro setup:

And for the revolver aficionados, a classic Smith and Wesson in 22lr(edit - better photo by popular request):

And finally, for the WW2 history buffs out there, a pair of 22lr clones of German WW2 sidearms:

We actually decided to go with a boards first approach, since there is such a great community here, but we will definitely post here when we have other social media up and going. :-)

I'm afraid we have a closed premises, so no retail access at this time. Not the traditional Irish rfd model I know but it works for us given our niche :)

Only once and not an easy or cheap process, but if you fire a pm over with what you are looking for we can look into it.

Was going to order some Hardox targets from the UK, but would prefer to buy from an Irish firm, if possible. What size gongs do you carry?

We have round gongs between 40cm, 30cm, 25cm, 20cm, 15cm and 10cm in Hardox 550 steel in this style:

And 25cm and 30cm gongs in a single central mounting hole design:

If there's anything in particular you are looking for send us on a PM and we can see what we can manage 😁

No website at this stage but it is in the works along with other social media.

We wanted to go with a boards thread first since there is such a great community here, but when our other online outlets are up and running we'll certainly post them up here.

In the meantime if there is something you are looking to get more details about or have sourced do fire us a pm(as several of you already have - thanks so much for that :-D) and we can see what we can do :)

Thanks for the overwhelming response we've gotten since posting the thread, we are delighted to be here. 😁

We have gotten some enquiries about our stock, which is very variable outside our Bavarian Tactical Systems line, but most of all we source whatever you want, which is a very eclectic mix.

On that front though we do think you'll like this one example of our currently available stock, a Webley Mk IV in 22lr, one of two we know about in the country.

The Webley revolver has a very rich history, particularly in Ireland having been used in the War of Independence, Civil War and subsequently by the Irish Defence Forces. And arguably most famously by the Peaky Blinders. 😉

Not a common loading for the platform and there is a big question as to how many are still around since the UK banned pistols and the resulting surrender & destruction of them.

If you'd like to know more about it (or you've something similarly unusual you'd like us to source) fire us a PM 😊

And of course the obligatory eye candy…

Good luck with the new venture!

A steady source for decent ammo for milsurp rifles at reasonable rates would also be highly welcomed!

    Much appreciated! :)

That is actually one of the things we are investigating currently, if there's any caliber in particular you'd be looking for send it over and we will see what we can do :-D

Best of luck with the new venture in a very tough market place.

If you can find either a Molot Veper 12 GA,or more likely and proably easier an Armsan RS-S1 ,We could do busisness?

Failing that ,a good supply of surplus 7.62 NATO or 9mm would be very welcome.

    Hi folks,

After getting a lot of inquiries about our Bavarian Tactical Systems line of firearms we thought it'd be a good idea to put up some photos & prices of our lineup :)

So with that we'll start off with the standard Irish spec non restricted straight pull BTS15 in 223 Remington (also available in 22lr semiautomatic).

    AD_4nXfP33N8h5pdnwhNpqawv2K_2iPeer1cxgLCth3AnSD3gna2Q9fE85kgfT-A5EobpVaW87j9-86GlNGLUS0A5CCCW6HeVS71-lGhsFmoHIQ1S-0g7flTMJiuHh5F8MU3gZv9YyUk-Q?key=vsSCbM_eR4tR7c5qWLyr5A

    AD_4nXcxoTZ-YLg1DPzHqF4v4c3DYuaFhn3kcz1PvHtaqhCC1kf0g-bJibz-MDl6ikpxLSqASpztL2bAkRSYGNknijtBWPTuszC6fPnHFiaMi5s5UfFa_S6qBf0iP0j4Shw66_pl7YTsGA?key=vsSCbM_eR4tR7c5qWLyr5A

    Here are the specs:

    • 18 inch government profile barrel (a compromise between a light hunting contour and a heavy target contour for the best of both worlds),
    • Adjustable buttstock to get your ideal length of pull (fixed stock is available also),
    • Ergonomic pistol grip, rubberised and grippy for all conditions,
    • Picatinny rail integrated to the upper receiver,
    • Flip up adjustable iron sights (either as a dedicated sighting solution or as an addition to the optic setup of your choice),
    • A full length M-LOK handguard with a top mounted picatinny rail to mount any accessories you could want (quick detach sling points, bipod studs, ARCA rail, lamp, foregrips, etc),
    • 10 round Magpul PMAG (10 round CMMG Gen 2 magazine for 22lr),
    • Milspec trigger group & safety,
    • And last but not least the barrel is of course threaded (1/2x28 thread) and comes with an A2 flash hider.

Pricing for this model is €1500

And of course anything (or everything) can be tailored to your specifications.

Want a completely ambidextrous rifle for lefties? We've already done it but we'd love to do it again!

Want to swap in a match grade trigger to eke out the most accuracy possible? Let's do it!

Not a fan of iron sights? We've partnered with Holosun to bring you some very well regarded red dot optics! We have 4 here that we've been testing for years now and are big fans.

Want to build the perfect pest control gun? We've recently partnered with Thomas Jacks to bring their well known Pulsar and Pixfra night vision and thermal optics to our builds.

We are always delighted to talk to customers to see what they are looking for and how we can get the best solution for them.

And with that in mind we have recently started up an Instagram account!

    https://www.instagram.com/hibernianarmaments/

Drop us a follow if you're on there, we'd certainly appreciate it, and as always if you've anything to say to us we are very active on Boards (and now Instagram too) so drop us a PM.

Quick question? Is the straight pull still being run via the bolt charging handle,or can we get a side charging handle for LH/RH cycling, something along the line of Devil Dog Concepts?

The straight pull is done solely by the standard charging handle so it can of course be swapped out for an ambidextrous charging handle, or a conversion to side charging by the Devil Dog Concepts device or similar devices.

We haven't had much call for that type of device yet but if it is something a customer wants on their build we can certainly accommodate!
