Anyone have an update on Limerick? For those that have gone through interview...have you received an offer or are you sitting on a panel?

I was OOM 38 after stage 1. Moved to OOM 2 after stage 2 shortlisting. Called for Batch 3 interview on 3rd July.

Does being shortlisted mean you'll definitely be interviewed or is it just another oom and ya wait and see ?

I had the same issue as the person posing the question and can confirm that this reply is spot on.

In the end, I just ended up booking a new outbound flight just so I could do the interview on the orginial date & time given to me.

I'm hoping it's because they are expecting there will be a need but it is just a new oom and a wait and see for now. I am being optimistic and taking it as a good sign, though.

Depends on where you are. For some counties they call a batch in for interview and then give them another order or merit for the panel. Then you wait on the panel and are placed as and when a vacancy arises so might be waiting a while after interview. The panel could expire even though you've passed your interview. This tends to be done in bigger counties like Dublin/Cork/Galway.

For other smaller counties they only call people for interviews as vacancies arise.

As in, HEO is needed, next person on panel gets called for interview, passes, gets placed. Nobody else is called for interview until another HEO is needed from that panel.

My partner is number 4 in a county where they do this which means he probably won't get called for a while (unless a couple of people fail their interviews) as it will only advance as a position comes up. The positive side to that is that when it's done like this when you pass your interview things move pretty quickly.

At present for the Higher Executive Officer 2024, we have called forward candidates up to and including the order of merit 05 for Stage 3 (Interview/Presentation) for Cork (Batch 3).

When you are under consideration, does anyone know how long it should take to get an offer?

Hi Congratulations on your upcoming interview. I am confused about Limerick batches as of April they were still only at no8 Batch1. Can I ask when you were shortlisted? and Does anyone know how many were in batch 2 and Batch 1 and for Batch 3 in Limerick as I think the batches are very small?

Anyone able to advise on the subjects we have to do the presentation on for interview?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14 dublindoyle2023

Can anyone advise when doing the interview, do you provide a answer to each dimension under the framework for example Evidence Informed Delivery.

One answer for Delivering Excellance and another for Analysis, Judgement and Decision Making. Thanks In Advance

I am OOM 16 in Batch 4 and I heard that they have moved to batch 4 from a colleague today but that may not be true.

Can someone advise how long did you have to wait from the start of the clearance period until a position was offered in Dublin?

email PAS and they will let you know but I think they’re still working on Batch 3

Yes, I got shortlisting email last week and yesterday got email to say I have interview in July, very quick, thought interview would be way off, any tips for interview and report/presentation would be really appreciated, not sure where to start with the capability framework 😀

They called up to the low 100's from batch 3 for Dublin just over a week ago, so I've doubts they will reach batch 4 at all. Maybe a few from it before the competition ends in November?

Husband got an email last week that applications have been assessed. He was top ten before that and is top 5 now so not sure how many applications they reviewed.

Does anyone know your take home pay for bi weekly pay on first pay scale for HEO.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 18,340 ✭✭✭✭fritzelly

About 1600 depending on circumstances (aren't heo's paid monthly?)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,768 ✭✭✭Jessibelle

no, definitely fortnightly . There’s 26 pay periods over the year so for two months there’s 3 payments and the rest are 2.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15 libravibes76

Tbh it's very difficult to answer as it would depend on your tax bracket ( are you jointly/ single assessed ) , if you pay into a credit union, USC rate,AVC, ASC, etc. etc.. . The annual amount divided by 26.09 for gross pay should give you a starting rate.

I'm hoping they get through batch 4.

It looks like they took everyone that was left on the panel after they passed the exams and shortlisted to create a new oom based on that to create the final batch,ie batch 4. I know someone who was in the 1200's and got shortlisted.

I emailed PAS today and they are at 173, batches 3 for Dublin. I’m batch 4 also but I reckon we will be called as it’s moving fast enough and still 5 months to go.

Anyone any idea how many are in Batch 3. Anyone on this higher than the 173 they're currently at?

Be good to know how soon they'll get to Batch 4.
