Ref the deportations and how they were affecting the US farm industry and hotel industry, it seems the Sec Agriculture Rollins made direct contact with Trump over the industries loss of employees to ICE and deportation and persuaded Trump to order a change in the deportations to allow the industries survive. However Sec Noem and Miller were angered by this and got Trump to reverse his position and for the deportations as preferred by Noem and Miller proceed. Another case of the boss chickening out to his W/H deputy chief of staff and lead architect to the deconstruction of the US foundations and structure.

Or a way to focus raids on businesses who don't pony up a bribe.

He doesn`t give a rats about genocidal monsters. His love for his bestie in Moscow, Putin, and his invasion and indiscriminate killing of children and civilians proves that.

With all his feathering the nest scams, genocide comes in a long way behind dirty lucre where he is concerned.Getting rid of Netanyahu would mean no emptying of the Gaza Strip to build his resort.

Not that his manic resort idea will ever happen anyway, but while Trump thinks there is still a chance of it he will continue to turn a blind eye and attempt to do his usual distraction with, "but but but look over…. there Iran….. mumble mumble ….could build nuclear something…. " while totally ignoring the evil b*st*rd he is backing has more nuclear weapons at his disposal than North Korea.

It's the upside down, topsy turvy land.

I actually agree with Carlson here, as he tackles Cruz.

Trumps approvals dropping like a stone. Protests starting to pop up across America.

It's time for a war. American politics 101, whenever it looks a bit shaky, get a war going.

Just musing this morning on lack of news on Trump's border wall (the one Mexico is paying for), and lo and behold

I saw that clip earlier and find it infuriating. It shows just how manipulated people are, and allow themselves to be when working for mainstream news outlets.

We never saw Tucker interview in that manner when he was on Fox and that was where most people would have seen him. He allowed himself to be a pawn in a misinformation narrative and it took him having to fall on his sword as a fall out from that for him to decide he was going to ask what are fairly basic questions and would probe accordingly.

This shows how Tucker was part of the problem.

Ted Cruz is going to Ted Cruz, that's no surprise. It's not necessarily a surprise about Carlson, it's just maddening.

Perhaps the sight of those marching soldiers up close triggered a bone spurs relapse?

Plus he needs to rally the troops [house and senate] around his big beautiful bill to get it across both floors alive and well so what better to get involved in a war with zero US casualties. Nothing more patriotic than telling the foreigners and local lefties to **** off.

I wonder if there was a survey done in the US at three levels ie the population , the senate and the house , what way would they vote if the question was:- “ If you had to choose one to ‘assist’ it in it’s war would you choose Ukr or Israel”?

I wonder if he can comprehend just how awful his 'presidency' is?

    No John Stewart is ok.

The Rachel Maddow show on the other hand now that is peak TDS.

Maybe the catheter someone suggested he may wear?

That could cause lapses of concentration whilst walking and an ungainly gait.

God forfend it be anything more serious.

Kudos to you for actually watching footage of the human contagion -I feel the urge to switch off.

The main person with real TDS is Trump himself. He needs to feel like everything is about him, that he is the smartest, best looking, in the room.He surrounds himself with sycophants that will tell him constantly how great he is and how perfect everything he does is and when things don't work out it is always the fault of everyone else, although he is the most important and most powerful! And as soon as they disagree with him then they are terrible people who he never met and never rated anyway

The next set of people that have TDS are all those that believe anything he says or thinks he will actually achieve anything. This is despite the ample and continual evidence in front of their eyes.

The likes of Stewart and Maddow, and the posters on here, are merely pointing out the truth and calling out his BS and the hypocrisy.

More like the Genocidal State did exactly as the pleased and he now has to go along with it or he'll appear to be the deluded incompetent fool he actually is.

And the monthly fee is $47.45 , not $45.47 which would make more sense as it would be chronological order of his Presidencies.

But , they aren't going to leave $2/month on the table now are they , gotta maximise the grift…

This whole peremptory attack on Iran isn't planned as it's a long term policy stance.

There are medical consultants born, raised, educated and qualified in the same time as Iran has being supposedly developing nuclear weapons.

Meanwhile Israel stole US state secrets for its nuclear weapons and zero concern.

What's Irans crime? Overthrowing a western installed puppet regime that would minimize royalties on Iranian oil.

Btw even Iran under the ayatollahs supported family planning while conservative Ireland fought against it.

He really thinks he’s acting in some comedy reality show and the world is his audience.

    Does he take anything serious?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,120 ✭✭✭✭Tell me how

Every day that goes by your TDS claims look more and more stupid.

This has been the worst Presidency in any of our lifetimes and the person in the hot seat is an attention seeker who seeks glory and validation in being talked about.

To think that the people talking about all his failures and failings are the ones with TDS is about as logical and realistic as Israel claiming to be the victim in the Iran conflict.

I saw him on the TV today, walking slowly down the steps of an aircraft and he looked a very tired and weary old man.

I think physically he has slowed down significantly in the last few months.

Some people on this thread will insist that he is energised and vigorous.

The biggest problem about Trump as President in times such as this (aside from the obvious stuff like him being catastrophically stupid) is that he incapable of thinking long term.

His entire life is build around instant gratification for himself , he has no concept of long term planning or even "short term pain for long term gain".

He will do what he thinks will make him look/feel good right here right now regardless of what that will mean tomorrow.

Arguably , a direct line can be drawn from his arbitrary decision to pull out of the Iran Nuclear deal eight years ago to where we are today.

A decision made not because he was thinking strategically , but because it was an Obama deal and he needed to blow it up to spite him.

He's now backed into a corner - Israel have played him for the fool that he is and he either looks weak and stupid for allowing them to pull this end-run on him or he drags the US into a war that no one outside the Knesset wants.

And given his overpowering narcissism , the desire to not look stupid is the strongest driver in his decision making , so he will probably start a war….

I don't see many people supporting Iran in fairness. I do, however, see many people supporting Israel who funnily enough have also spent billions (and received billions in aid) over decades to also support terrorist groups and wars killing many innocent civilians.

Paint it whatever way you like, both regimes are birds of a feather in this regard.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,576 ✭✭✭twinytwo

Bigger issue is how the US government and branches have almost been rendered effectively useless by an orange turd and the little minions he has working away in the wings. It was clear they were papering over the cracks for a while but he has taken a sledgehammer to the whole thing.

Difficult to see how they come back from this. I don't think anyone expected to see the day a US president would **** on their allies while bending the knee to the Russians. Then to spout whatever nonsense comes into his head on social media while also trying to make a quick buck pedalling his latest trinket to the masses, all from the comfort of the oval office.

The saddest part of all this, the man literally hasn't a clue about anything. Not politics, not economics, not trade, nothing.. Other world leaders would be laughing at him if it wasn't so serious.

Peak TDS is what you have and other MAGA followers. Unable to impartially look at the crazy shít Trump has done over the last 5 months and before and call it for what it is. Constantly trying to spin the unspinable is deranged.

Declaring war on Iran is about the only thing I think he could do that would properly alienate himself from his base, short of going full liberal of course.

It's probably their only virtue that they seem to resent being dragged into interminable conflicts in the middle east but Trump has once again been manipulated by a tyrant into a very stupid position.

They were bogged down in Afghanistan for two decades, spent over $2 Trillion and lost 176,000 American lives alone.

    https://watson.brown.edu/costsofwar/figures/2021/human-and-budgetary-costs-date-us-war-afghanistan-2001-2022

He can't seriously be contending with the notion of going to war with a much larger, much stronger country that may have nuclear weapons.

More likely I think is US-supported strikes against Iran and nothing more than that. He'd have to a hell of a thing to get the American public behind an invasion. He could have played up the global policeman thing by reigning in Netanyahu but that'd have required something other than a pathetically simpering attitude towards tyrants and dictators.

I think seeing the effects of their ‘policing’ activities across the world over the years the USA also has a place in this flock of birds
