Multiple Xbox’s in household question

    Hi folks,

Sick of being relegated by boys playing games during the summer holidays, I set up a ‘den’ at the back of the house and picked up a Series S off adverts. I’ve my series x in the main room. I’ve game pass ultimate under my account and the two kids have kids accounts in my family.

I’d considered a switch 2 or PS5 but I thought it would be cheaper to get a second Xbox and use existing accounts and games.

But now I’m seriously confused. Gamepass games won’t work - only one user can use them at a time. Wish I’d known that or I’d have bought a PS5.

But now even free to play games (PUBG, rocket league, Apex legends) are giving errors saying you do not have a licence etc. again, this is two consoles in the same house, same WiFi, logged in with the same accounts

Is this right? I’ve got to get Xbox live subs for the kids as well for them to play games as well?

Is this the real situation or a setup issue? (Currently the series X is everyone’s home console).

    Sorry and thanks

you can only be logged into your account on one xbox to play games at a time. you set the series x as your home console(so everyone can play). sign out(you don't need to sign back in) the error message you are seeing could be to do with quick resume. I have a set up a home similar.
