Netenyahu said the plan: "voluntary emigration"

Not that they have any choice other than to take up that offer

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,070 ✭✭✭Sweet.Science

Not much choice either way unfortunately. It's inhabitable going forward and nobody is going to rebuild it .

    Settlers will find a way

Egypt put forward a plan to do exactly that some months ago.

And Gaza is not "destroyed forever" as you previously posted. Counter examples are Dresden, Hiroshima, Nagasaki etc.

The IDF have confirmed to the BBC that there was indeed another unreported IDF strike last Sunday.

The significance of this is that it was part of the data that was used by the White House to attempt to discredit the BBC.

@political analyst you might take note of this

The BBC have more detail on the Haaretz report yesterday of Israel supporting criminal gangs in Gaza.

Note that these Gangs are responsible for stealing aid. So that's a lot of egg on Israel's face after accusing Hamas of doing it - whilst funding the actual perpetrators.

It's actually becoming quite difficult keeping up with all the lies.

There really is no low that Israel won't sink to.

Gaza doesn't have the means to rebuild itself . And it won't be allowed to by Israel and the US. Gaza pre October 2023 is gone forever .

A tale as old as time . Arming the enemy of your enemy and causing a war within .

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,492 ✭✭✭dmcdona

Indeed - hence the Egypt plan.

Sources/evidence for Israel/US preventing this please. Or is it just opinion?

Another update on GHF - they are closing the aid distribution centres "until further notice".

Significant numbers of civilians dying from starvation is becoming very close to reality.

This is why there is international condemnation of GFH - it is run by Israel who can turn it on and off on a whim and continue their Genocide. Utterly depraved behaviour that only a Pariah State would engage in.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,492 ✭✭✭dmcdona

So you've no evidence that either Israel or the US would prevent the rebuilding of Gaza.

    Hmmm.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,070 ✭✭✭Sweet.Science

Well the last year and half gives a slight indication .

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,492 ✭✭✭dmcdona

Further updates on the woeful performance of GHF in providing aid to Gaza.

Northern Gaza still without any out at all.

Notable that the "shooting incidents" were all IDF related (which they have since admitted - see a pattern there anyone?). Coincidence? No - a fig leaf of cover for Israel to continue its Genocide.

    An indication of what?

It would be helpful if your posts were more than one line with a bit more detail on what you're trying to discuss - I'm not into guessing games TBH.

    Their feelings re Gaza.

And imagine thinking Egypt care lol . Their plan is all politics . They could not care less.

A couple of straplines from Haaretz plus an interesting editorial.

The sanction on ICC judges seem totally politically motivated - but no surprise. Attack is the best form of defence.

    • The Trump administration imposed sanctions on four judges of the International Criminal Court in The Hague on Thursday, citing their threat to "sovereignty and national security of the United States and our allies, including Israel."
    • Top European Union officials condemned the sanctions against four judges."The ICC holds perpetrators of the world's gravest crimes to account," European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen wrote on X, adding that the court "gives victims a voice." The court "must be free to act without pressure," she added.

"Instead of any serious discussion about reconstruction and the enclave's future, Netanyahu is advancing a messianic vision that includes crimes against humanity in the form of ethnic cleansing and population transfer. It's a plan that will mire the IDF in the Gaza quicksand, risk the lives of soldiers and hostages, perpetrate war crimes against Gaza's civilian population, lead to diplomatic isolation and cause harm to the economy." - Haaretz Editorial

Can you imagine a world where the Nazis were arming gangs inside Jewish concentration camps, and then the world just turned on the Jewish people inside those camps because those gangs existed.

Its a pity this didn't come to light when Natasha was on with Piers Morgan. I would love to see what excuse she might have come up with to justify it .

Greta Thunberg and her flotilla are due to land in Gaza in the next 48 to 72 hours. I'm reading that the regime has no legal right to intercept the boat under international law - she is bringing food and aid to a starving people in an illegally occupied territory on board a British registered vessel.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,004 ✭✭✭✭Tony EH

They already attacked an aid boat with a drone strike a month ago. Israel don't give a fuck about international law except when it's them that are crying about it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,909 ✭✭✭CFlat

Senator Lindsay Graham has already said. "I hope Greta can swim". I agree with the above. Israel don't care about International law. They're killing innocent women and children for fun. Why wouldn't they turn on the Madeleen, Gretas boat. Greta and crew are very brave to do what they are doing.

The goal of the zionists is to kill as many of the Palestinians as they think they can get away with.

That is why silence on this is complicity, the israeli's are completely dependent on the rest of the world turning a blind eye.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,729 ✭✭✭✭Strazdas

100% yes and it's almost certainly the case they are going to try and interfere with / stop the vessel. In the Zionist world, whatever Israel says is the law, is the law.

Hopefully though, the arrival of the boat will signal an embarrassment for the regime. Much of the western media seem to be following its journey and it will be hard for the Israeli propaganda machine to spin whatever happens to Greta as a 'win'.

as awful as what's happening the above is such nonsense .

The aid ship will not be allowed land. The last thing the IDF want in Gaza is humanitarian aid. It's interesting to see how the IDF will turn it around or disable it. Fair play to them all for trying.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth House?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,492 ✭✭✭dmcdona

I believe he was chastised for that comment - disgusting coming from a senior politician (but he's said worse).

If nothing else, the Madaleen will continue to keep humanitarian considerations in Gaza in the news and keep the pressure on Israel to cease its Genocide.

A couple of interesting headlines from Haaretz.

Does anyone else find it odd that the IDF and now GHF use phrases like "Hamas threats" without explaining what those threats are? I suspect its just convenient language to justify whatever it is they want to do or not do.

The IDF dead body announcement is interesting - they said weeks ago that they already killed him. The wouldn't have lied would they?

The EU looking at "whether Israel respects human rights and democratic principles" is also odd - ask any random person in the street and they'll give the categoric answer…

Iran getting hold of Israel's nuclear secrets is worrying…

    • Gazan health officials said at least eight Palestinians were killed by Israeli fire near a humanitarian aid distribution center in Rafah run by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, the U.S.-based group distributing food aid.
    • The foundation said it did not open its distribution sites on Saturday because of direct threats by Hamas. "These threats made it impossible to proceed today without putting innocent lives at risk," it said in a statement, adding that "GHF will not be deterred. We are actively adapting our operations to overcome these threats and fully intend to resume distributions without delay."
    • The IDF announced that it was investigating whether a body found near the European Hospital in Khan Yunis was Hamas leader Mohammed Sinwar.

    • European Council President António Costa called the situation in the Gaza Strip "unacceptable" and expressed doubts about Israel's adherence to international law, Politico reported.
    • Costa said the European Union's External Action Service was looking into the situation, including whether Israel respects human rights and democratic principles.

    • The Lebanese Hezbollah-affiliated Al Mayadeen channel reported that Iranian intelligence had acquired a large trove of highly sensitive material, including thousands of documents relating to Israeli defense projects and Israeli nuclear facilities.

Very good opinion piece on the GHF

"The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation's failure was evident ahead of time to anyone with eyes in their head.

Israel starved Gazans for 80 days and then announced the opening of free food distribution centers.

There is no need to understand how humanitarian aid works or the logistics of food distribution to know that the scenario of storming mobs was the most likely one of all.

The Israeli army chose to direct the crowd with rifles, rather than putting up signs and fences.

Only a profound denial of the humanity of Gaza's residents can allow the establishment of this twisted system"

    Nir Hasson
