Can I use somebody else's Tesco tokens?

Tesco keep sending random letters to my house addressed to the previous owner. I sent the letters back but they still keep coming. So today I opened it up and saw €24 worth of vouchers. Somebody might as well use them.

Will I go to prison if I use them?

Happened to me before, I didn't even notice they werent mine because the old tenant and I had the exact same first name, I wasn't paying attention when I used them and only noticed the 2nd time it happened because mine and his arrived on the same day.

They worked no problem and I never heard anything about it, even used the coupons while scanning my own clubcard

Great. That's cans sorted for Paddy's day.

Vouchers won't work on alcohol, so it'll be cans of soft drinks (unless, of course, that's what you meant)

You have to prepare yourself for the possibilty of the real owner having the Tesco app and knowing that they've got vouchers. They may have already used them on the app itself.

They must be feckin stupid not notifying a change of address.

I had the opposite - after I moved house Tesco continued to send stuff to my old address. Eventually when I queried the lack of points vouchers they told me the vouchers were issued and had been used - obviously by the new tenants. But fair dues to Tesco - they issued me with the same amount - about €20 i think - of new vouchers.

I've never got any vouchers from them.

Oh absolutely, go ahead. Open someone else’s mail, claim their vouchers, and use them as your own. It’s not like that’s a total violation of basic decency or anything.

After all, when you accidentally open mail that isn’t yours, the obvious next step is to redeem it for personal gain. Right?

And let’s be honest, nothing screams “I can’t afford groceries” like a recent holiday in Faro. Priorities, clearly.

So go on, treat yourself. Ethics are optional when you’re fresh off the beach.

I used them all and nothing happened. Will use the next ones too. It's Tesco's fault.

Faro holiday was good. I used parents benefit dole to pay for that. Free holidays from the government, pretty good.

There's a smell of chatGPT off your posts.
