Sounds like you shouldn't be attempting this yourself

Are you using an aftermarket kit? If so link to it. Most local "dashcam" installers can help you if you struggle.

    Hi Blues

A little late but at last I can comment on something I have done myself. Frist off, as others suggested, watch some youtube videos. Preferably ones with the same car.

Overall the process is to mark up where exactly you want the sensors, don't want blind spots cos that is exactly where a random pole will be at some future point.

Next you have a choice, remove the bumper or drill while in place. I choose to remove mine as it was not too difficult.

With the holes drilled fit the sensors and route the wires up into the boot. You may have to drill into the boot if there is not a suitable hole but my car had some holes with rubber plugs which made it easier.

With the wires inside, one needs to be connected to the reversing light, so that when it comes on the sensors activate. the rest you run to the front. Run them along under carpet, up the side plastic trim and behind the glove box. then route them to wherever you have the box placed.

They are usually easy to connect into the box.

Next, start the car and have some one walk behind it while you hold it in reverse. The sensors should beep to warn you.

Finally, replace all the trim, replace your light into its housing if you had to pull it out, then off for a refreshing drink of your choice. :)

For me it was an 05 (i think) Bora and it was ten years ago. These days I am not as mobile so I would be heading to an local installer.

Good luck with it and if I can answer any questions, feel free to post them here.
