is anyone planning to go? i was not at bloom last year but was the year before; and it seemed quite poor.

many years ago, the main marquee was full of nurseries and horticultural outlets; e.g. hosta specialists or fern specialists etc.

in more recent years it's been general retail - eir had a big stand, people selling non-stick pans, that sort of thing. and i don't want to pay in for the privilege of someone trying to sell me a house alarm.

standard tickets are 30 euro a head.

worth mentioning that i recently saw ticket prices for the chelsea flower show - i think the cheapest option on the final day (admission only after 5:30pm) was about three times the price of bloom!

Is it the same for Bloom? I've never been and was wondering if any discount codes floating around.

not that i'm immediately aware of, but these events usually have some sort of discount schemes. must research who the main advertisers are, they'll probably want to leverage that sort of thing…

I ended up going today, got there at 10 (cycled in) and I really enjoyed it. It got really busy around lunch, very slow progress walking around.

I bought Allium and Calla bulbs. Pricey, but they did sell them well with the display that they had.

I brought my Mam to Chelsea a couple of years ago, think tickets were approx £100 sterling, very pricey. Everything there was very expensive too. I actually think Chelsea is over priced, but it is London. Bloom is good value compared to that. But the garden area is quite small in Bloom, I think
