Am I out of touch with plumbing costs, or is this reasonable?😲. I would have considered the tap install to be a basic install, just going from under a kitchen sink to an outside wall but the price quoted is double what i would expect

    This quote looks really high.
Maybe look for a handyman to quote for this work or try to DIY. Is not to complicated.

TRV looks cheap unless he's doing it live without draining the system.

I replaced 13 TRVs Inc one for the cylinder. I also removed an automatic valve at the cylinder. Probably took less than 2 hours.

Unless there is something different with your home I'd expect an outside tap to be around €200 plus vat.

It all depends on where you live. I've seen jobs where the closest plumber was 1.5 hours hard driving. I'd be looking for €100 per hour travel there & back. Obviously local plumber should be far cheaper than someone that has a few hours drive

As around, I'm sure there's a plumber's apprentice in your area - they are known for doing cash jobs at weekends, evenings etc. What you have been quoted is more than a weeks pay for them.
