Ferguson 35 won't start

    Hi

    I have been using my ferguson 35 for the bog but it was outside last night and won't start today. It turned a little. Could it be the battery or rain in exhaust ? I don't know anything about fixing tractors. Is there an easy step by step you can give me? I attached a picture, couldn't upload the video but it's turning a little only

    If it turned for a short while it sounds like the battery, how quick is it to start normally

    It won't be rain in the exhaust after 1 night. If it barely turned over then it sounds like a battery issue.

    Charge the battery and try again, might be no harm to check if it's charging when you get it started.

    I meant to say. I try jump leads off car and that didn't do it either. Could battery be so dead that jump leads won't do it? Have it charging now overnight anyway

    Normally fairly quick but seemed slower more recent actually. Jump leads didn't do it either. Have it charging tonight anyway

    It should have turned over a little better with jump leads, it could be a loose connection or faulty starter/solenoid

    Attach the positive of the jump leads directly to the positive bolt on the starter, ensure it doesn't make direct contact with the body, attach the negative to a clean bolt on the chassis and try again - ensure the tractor is in neutral. Make sure you have diesel flowing - check the glass bowl to see if it's filling.

    Seems to have been the battery..got it sorted with a charge...thanks all

    I suppose the question is why was it discharged ??

    do you have a meter to check what the charge voltage is, should be 14.5v

    I think I might have left the lights on. Think I turned to see if they work....they didn't...and I don't think I turned off. So even though not working may have ran down battery. Will see if happens again
