Yes to win this Championship beat Ganassi/Palou/Dixon you are talking about one maybe two DNF's at absolute max so one down for Power already, he is in the final season of his Penske contact aswell while McLaughlin just got awarded a new long-term contact extension so Power is under major pressure there this season to contend for the title or win Indy again. Malukas is considered to be the big contender to replace Power in 2026 if he performs this season in the Penske-Foyt car

I am expecting big things from James Roe this season! The first race didn’t go as planned, but his resilience and determination always shine through. After pushing through a wrist injury last year and now balancing Indy NXT with IMSA, he is proving he is one to watch.

Penske failing pre tech spec is the shocker , all 3 Penskes will start on row 4.

As an aside Autosport have completely ignored the indy 500 so far this year.

Update : Penske #2 Josef Newgarden had an issue going through tech with a blending issue on the attenuator, #12 Will Power ,which had passed pre race tech(!) , had the same issue, so it was decided to pull it out of qualifying - desperate attempts to chip out the uneven blend on the #2 were deemed outside of the changes allowed ,implying any attempts to correct the issue on the #12 would also fall foul . #12 could have attempted qualifying but would have been disqualified.

The Penske stink is seriously harming the… Penske owned series. Newgarden's Indy 500 winning car last year looks like it had the same modified attenuator but was cleared or a blind eye turned by the series tech officials

Shwartzman's pole is one of the best things I've ever seen at the speedway considering his and Prema's complete lack of experience on ovals despite their obvious European racing pedigree

Tim Cindric getting fired by Penske after 25 years less then a week before an Indy 500 was definitely not something on my Indycar bingo card but here we are incredible stuff what is going on

I'm sure more will come out on this latest Penske scandal, a number of Indycar tech officials will be lucky to keep their jobs and I'm suspicious some other teams have not been racing clean either

Could Newgarden be stripped of the 2024 indy 500? Below is from a few media outlets

"Neither was allowed to participate in the Sunday qualifying session for the top-12 cars and INDYCAR president Doug Boles announced Monday they would start at the rear of the field for the Indy 500 while Cindric and Ruzewski were suspended for the race and the teams fined $100,000.

In the wake of the violation, photos of the 2024 race-winning Newgarden car that also is displayed in the speedway museum also appear to have the seams filled as well."
