I have a Triton T90 shower installed, it has a switch on the wall, not the typically pull switch

The switch has gone bang, have already tested etc

Just wondering is it a 45amp or 50amp I need to replace it with? I expect it is a 45 amp but want to be sure

No harm to go with a 50A really.

the circuit will be protected with a 40A RCBO, so anything above this rating will be fine.

More importantly go for one of decent quality. MK logic would be a reputable brand. Screwfix often stock them.

I did replace one on a Triton T80, a 9kW shower also but it had nothing to do with the switch, it was a lose connection. These wall mounted switches never switch on/off the load current so should last almost for ever.
