Sunderland promoted. Sheffield United’s miserable play-off record continues.

That second goal that was ruled out is a real sickener now.

    Great belief shown by Sunderland.

    Happy for Sunderland.

It'll make good watching in the Netflix series.

Didn't see that coming after the first three quarters of the game. Great comeback from Sunderland, who will need to spend some serious money to have any chance next season.

Oh well, give me an easy life and a peaceful death.

Delighted for Sunderland, what a way to win it.

    Their fans were incredible Today.

Delighted for Watson too - He has had his fair share of stick and criticism since announcing his departure, but what a departing gift he has given the club.

Great scenes with the late winner and the trophy celebrations.

Interesting to see what Sunderland's recruitment strategy will be like, will they sign premier league experience or stick to the youth. Will be a question over whether Jobe Bellingham stays, been linked with a move to Germany but you would hope with promotion that he would stick around.

For Sheffield United, will they be able to keep that squad together for next season and go again.

Sunderland have to pay the fee for Le Fee now, as there was a promotion condition linked to his loan.

Charlton promoted from League 1, get a 1-0 win. Colleague in work will be a happy man

Irish keeper should have done better for goal but he had good season overall.

Ruben Selles gets kicked out by Hull FC.

    Michael Carrick sacked by Middlesborough.

Miron Muslic leaves Plymouth for Schalke04.

The summer merry-go-round is well and truly up and running.

Yes indeed. Add in Liam Manning quitting Bristol City for Norwich. Also Marti Cifuentes who was considered QPR's saviour and the next hotshot Spanish manager in 23/24 has been on "gardening leave" for almost 2 months with no sign of a replacement. It was thought that he was being tapped up by West Brom but with them appointing Ryan Mason that didn't happen and he's not been linked with any of the other Championship vacancies.

Sean Dyche to Leicester? He will turn them around (unfortunately!).

We'll he's from Northamptonshire (dunno if he still lives there but watches his son at the Cobblers most home games) which is only next door so it'll probably be perfect for him.

Edit: looks like QPRs manager has agreed to join Leicester.

Praying that John Textor saves us from the potless/clueless Chansiri.

Worst close season ever so far collecting embargo's thanks to this buffoon.

That could be frying pan into the fire stuff there....somehow

He was on Talksport yesterday. Very impressed with his background and knowledge.
Answered every single question thrown at him for 90 mins. Even mentioned us saying we should be winning stuff.
He has big number debts but the assets outweigh that completely.

Seems Chansiri has accepted at least one bid so hopefully better days.

Of probably limited/ no interest Norwich City have an Irish lad doing their social media it looks like. Watching an interview from their feed about the friendly they have with Northampton today, and the lad interviewing is from this part of the world, didn't do a bad job.

I imagine Blackburn Rovers chuckling away to themselve seeing what John Eustace has managed at Derby County. Not many teams worse than Blackburn, but the Rams are one of them.

Sheff Wed gone into administration - 12 point deduction. from 6 to -6 looks like. Desperate.

Horrible to see how much Chansiri has ruined that club. Brother is a Wednesday fan and it's much more fun to take the piss for footballing reasons.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,475 ✭✭✭Kiwi_knock

Administration was probably the only solution as Chansiri made a sale impossible. Sheffield Wednesday fans seem to be positive with this news. Relegation will be hard to avoid, but they should hopefully be in a good position to come straight back up.

A second half perfect hat-trick by Moore sees Wrexham come from behind to give Coventry their first loss of the season in a very entertaining game, 3-2.

Yes the PL is quite sterile by comparison Sakamoto looked a lively player

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,475 ✭✭✭Kiwi_knock

Will Still sacked by Southampton. Southampton appear to be a mess on and off the field but Still was massively out of his depth. Be interesting to see if he would get another job in England in the future.

Season has been a struggle for the relegated teams and Sheff Utd as the other parachute payment club. Would be great for the league's entertainment value to see three different teams go up.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,463 ✭✭✭jacool

At 33, I'm sure he'll get another gig in these three leagues. Can be musical chairs at time. Had certainly lost the fan base by all accounts.

The relegated trio have lost 8 of their last 9 fixtures and the solitary win was part of the Sheff Utd bounce.

Sakamoto and Grimes are their best two players for me.

Just back from the hugely entertaining Coventry v Sheffield United game. What on earth has happened to Sheffield United, did Sunderland break them? They just folded in the second half like they did at Preston. I was assuming they'll be soaring up the table but they're taking their time and gaps are growing.

Chris Wilder was a big part of saving Northampton Town so I like to see him do well but he's definitely been found out tactically in recent years.
