Good 1st half for the most part. They are well drilled in the more modern game. A couple of sloppy handpasses in last 10 mins gave Dublin a few scores but little to complain about

Red card was the end of it as a contest, we're not learning much from this second half. Either way we looked very sharp in the first half, great performances from Glynn and lahoff. Tactics were smart and we executed it all well. Shane we didn't get a real second half, but you'd have to be happy

Yes well on top before the red card. Bolger,McPhillips and Lahoff excellent

Good win. Lads who were poor/quiet last week good tonight and lads who were good last week quiet this evening. None of these lads ready for senior hurling and nothing wrong with that. They're still chaps.

15 wides not great all the same considering they've won pulling up and Tipp will be clear favs in the final

Who will tag mccarthy in the final I wonder he could beat us on his own

Well done to all involved. Great to get out of a tough Leinster. Kilkenny will be hard to beat in the final.

Is the final in Nowlan park? Mark Dowling said it was in the interview

Yea they just said it. Going to be outnumbered by Tipp fans again

What games are you watching? I reckon Tipp will be heavy favs. Fair play to this KK team, great to win Leinster but the performances are inconsistent and against a good team like Tipp they're going to have to be near perfect with the way they play the ball through the hands. This Tipp team won minor and whilst thats no indication of what a team can do at U20 on its own they have two established seniors in McCarthy and O Farrell plus they got to the U20 All Ireland last year and have backed it up again this year.

They way Kilkenny set up and good use of the ball they will be hard to beat. Obviously lots to improve on, but that will be a hard team to beat. I still don't know what to make of them tbh

Also, with the game in Nowlan Park no expense should be spared to promote the **** out of this game and get KK people into the park. Full court press on KCLR, the People, the Kilkenny GAA Instagram page and whatever other social media people use. County Council should have bunting up before the weekend and retail units should be heavily encouraged to promote the game in their shopfronts. Get into the schools and promote clubs to bring underage teams. I don't know what works and I honestly think KK people are **** useless to show up but you have to try something.

Why when dublin let us have the short puck out is more ball not going into murphy on the edge of the square.

Leinster titles are not to be sniffed at particularly as this wasn't a highly rated group having lost to Laois U17 three years ago. Althougb the sending off helped, I felt Kilkenny were on top and had the help of a diagonal wind in the second half. Backs and goalkeeper did well along with Tom McPhillips in midfield. Ed Lauhoff, Rory Glynn and Aaron McEvoy were the best of the forwards weth Michael Brennan accurate from placed balls. Not Marty Murphy's day but he got 5 points the last day. Players will have to brush up on their shooting with 15 wides. Tipp have looked very good so the final will be a challenge

    When is the final?

My thoughts entirely JJ poor crowd in Portlaoise tonight,it’s not a **** million miles away shouting at the telly doesn’t do any good. We need a Hugh crowd in the Park on a bank holiday Saturday.

    NO **** EXCUSES!

    Saturday week

Kk play with 7 backs & Lahoff plays midfield

can’t just launch every ball on marty with a forward down

bet Dublin well, they knocked out AI champs Offaly and a good galway group

    great win, onwards & upwards

Marty Murphy was suffering the effects of flu I heard earlier today.

Losing by 2 pts to the subsequent All Ireland Champions last year can hardly be classed as being "run ragged", Tonight in Portlaoise this years version definitely did run Dublin ragged. Well done to all the players , Mark Dowling and his management team. Great performance and a lot of potential for the future. Huge shot in the arm for Kilkenny Hurling.

I don't think there'll be any problem with attendance. I'd expect a huge crowd from both counties. Great to have a final to look forward to.

It'll be a tough one against a very strong tipperary but I think kilkenny have every chance. Well done to the team on the victory tonight.

Tipp will come in there droves if they think they will beat us whereas we will struggle to bring 6 thousand. We were outnumbered last year for the minor final. This county is slowly rising again and the supporters will have to start coming out again.
