No no, you see you didn't answer any of the questions. Have another look and try again. Do you want me to break them out?

What are they doing in the Hyacinth House?

"The deaths of tens of thousands of innocent civilians is, to put it mildly, a bit sh*t."

    "Why do you hate Jews?"

I genuinely can't believe this garbage is still going on in the thread after 18 months.

All they have is deflection and slurs, yet it doesn't work anymore. The emperor has no clothes on and the world sees him for what he is, a disgusting genocidal pig.

Absolutely abhorrent but unsurprising 9 countries oppose. At least a healthy majority support it. Can the despots like Hungary block this?

Hamas have given Israel the terms for months now. They will release all the hostages and Hamas will leave Gaza.

Israel refuses to accept - why? It's not a complex answer - the want to annex Gaza and cleanse it of Palestinians.

As for Hamas stealing "much of it" as regards aid, please provide a source for that.

We all know what you support by the way.

This may be the same article published earlier by another poster though I don't recall seeing the image of the little girl.

Pictures do paint a thousand words.

And we'll see a lot more if this within days.

A key point. If you blow up a building or a tent which houses 25 civilians and you know they are there, you cannot possibly claim their death was 'collateral damage'. To all intent and purposes, they were the targets of the attack, no matter what way you try to frame it to yourself.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 4,096 ✭✭✭dmcdona

    I think you're mistaken.

Posts are "bashing" Genocide and War Crimes and the murder and starvation of innocent civilians.

That it is Israel is purely coincidental.

You know things are bad when the UK suspends trade talks.

I meant to add, it shows how devoid of humanity certain posters here are when, assuming they even bother responding to this, will just post crap like "but Hamas", "you all hate Jews" blah blah. Starving children appear to mean nothing to them, presumably because they are Arab children.

    Absolutely heart breaking.

Words cant describe the level of hate Im feeling for the Israeli Government and IDF right now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 4,096 ✭✭✭dmcdona

if the momentum keeps up and especially if/when the US shuns them, Israel will be a busted flush and World Pariah.

I sincerely hope that the result is Likud and the Far Right are booted into political oblivion and those Israelis who utterly condemn the current Govt. rebuild and start towards a two-state solution.

I have absolutely zero interest in engaging with you on this, as your attitude disgusts me.

I was going to apologise for repeating myself multiple times in the last couple of days but I've decided I won't apologise.

I have a very strong feeling that we are yet to witness the real horrors currently unfolding in Gaza.

I believe the likes of the UK, France, Canada and the US plus EU States are privy to information unavailable to the general public. I believe that is why they have changed their tunes in the last week or two.

They know the horrors and have reacted. Even the IDF commanders made representations to their Govt. to let aid in. Because they too know what is going on.

When those reports, images and videos start being published, people will be sickened. I will be sickened.

I have followed this campaign from the start. I have objectively read reports, articles and posts from this thread. I have sifted through that material and distilled out corroborated evidence and the truth. Many here have done likewise and contributed greatly. Even those who support Israel.

But I don't think any of us are prepared for what is about to unfold.

    I'm angry. I'm upset. And I'm terrified.

Words genuinely fail me to try and describe how I feel for those innocent kids and adults who did nothing - absolutely nothing - to deserve to die in a slow, suffocating, inhumane manner at the hands of Israel.

Agreed, very well said. While I don't have children, I genuinely can't understand how anyone, especially parents as I am sure some of the posters here are, can just glibly dismiss this level of suffering and collective punishment being levelled against infants. I doubt it will ever happen, but maybe someday they will look at what they are excusing now and realise the unbelievable levels of inhumanity they are displaying. Or maybe they just don't care about dead Arabs.

Here is a a Gazan mother describing a conversation with her daughter.

    Reminder - this is 2025.

"My youngest girl, Mariam, looked up and asked softly, 'Will there be more?' Her eyes are wide, not demanding – just hoping. I kissed her forehead and whispered, 'Tomorrow, habibti.' The words came out easily, but in my chest, something tightened. I didn't know if I'm lying, or just trying to believe it myself. As I watched her eat, I remembered the last cease-fire: how the markets overflowed with vegetables and fruits, how I carried home bags full of tomatoes, cucumbers, even strawberries for the children. Now, I sometimes resort to using sacks of spoiled flour, crawling with mites, brushing them out grain by grain just to make something edible"

US pressure will force Israel to comply. It might come sooner rather than later.

President Trump has been increasing the pressure on PM Netanyahu to end the war in Gaza, the Washington Post reported Monday, citing an unnamed source familiar with discussions in Israel's cabinet, who said that "Trump's people are letting Israel know, 'We will abandon you if you do not end this war.'"

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,698 ✭✭✭Frank Grimes

When Trump thinks Israel has gone too far the apologists should probably reconsider their position.

    @Frank Grimes

Again well said - the one thing you do as a parent (including myself) is make sure theres food on the table and the kids are healthy and you make sacrifices for that even giving up things you want for yourself.

It must be horrific for any parent to see their kids starve to death and not be able to do anything about it.

The worst part is they dont have anything themselves to give up - they cant forego food to give to their kids because they dont have food either to give up. Its just sickening - I remember the Ethiopian famines in the 90s and those pictures coming out of Gaza now remind me of those pictures. Gaza people are in for a serious time of it if the reports are true that are coming from the UN.

I don't think 1 country can veto. It is about trade, so think it would be based on a Qualified Majority vote. If 17 really want to shut it down (the trade agreement with Israel) and it includes enough of the big and populous EU countries it will be gone. Always thought the EU-Israel relationship was getting onto shaky ground the way they are acting and kind of country they have become, regardless of German guilt over the Holocaust or the Viktor Orbán/Netanyahu relationship.

A sick and depraved society allows what Israel are doing. The world leaders who facilitated such depravity do not get a free pass just because they are trying to salvage whatever level of humanity they have left.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 4,096 ✭✭✭dmcdona

Another poster mentioned the UK had sanctioned Settlers.

    Here is the full story:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,698 ✭✭✭Frank Grimes

I don't want to be a broken record about this but it needs to be said. It's bad enough that Israel is being given carte blanch (until now anyway) to do this but it's even worse that we have people elsewhere blindly excusing this. I am old enough remember the famine in Ethiopia, the genocide in Bosnia and Rwanda and other crimes against humanity that I thought we'd evolved from as a result of these experiences but clearly not. Starving brown children to death is clearly ok for many.

It's unfortunate that it takes the current on-going massacre to get sanctions against these colonists. Their colonies and they have no grounds to be in the occupied territories save the annexation of Palestinian land.
