    They are not supposed to wage “all out war” on a mainly civilian population. Happy to clear that one up for you.

    That title change should have a happened well over a year ago

    Especially considering Hamas are no longer striking Israel in any shape or form.

    That poster doesn’t give a single solitary fcck about the people of Gaza, that much is clear from their posting. And then has the nerve to lecture people and tell them they aren’t really concerned, they are just putting on some sort of show. I can’t tell you how little respect I have for these people.

    As for context, much of the criticism of Israel today would be like in 1943 complaining about how Britain and the US were "killing kids" etc in Germany. Silly, bizarre stuff that would not be accepted if it were about anyone except the worlds only Jewish state.

    For the umpteenth time; your, very basic, WW2 comparisons are not comparable to the situation in Gaza and the background to the relations between the two parties involved. It's an utterly ridiculous fallback point when you shoehorn in WW2.

    Can't believe the tripe i'm reading. '' separate the country from the government '' when you and your buddies on here can't separate Hamas from the innocent babies being blown to bits. I really couldn't read past that. Unbelievable really.

    I know. It's quite an act. Dramatic yet meaningless posts, massive bias, no self awareness and then disappears when the questions appear.

    What are they doing in the Hyacinth House?

    You don't even know when you're lying any more.

    Israel's international reputation is in the gutter. You can't really separate the people from the government. If the people, as a majority didn't despise the Palestinian people, then the Government wouldn't have the mandate to conduct genocide in Gaza. As horrific as the holocaust was it's clear that Israel is endeavouring to execute a modern equivalent in Gaza. It was horror from the international community about the holocaust that paved the way for the modern state of Israel to come into existence.

    The palestinian people are the native people of the land. A people that every Jewish government since 1948 has treated with contempt and as second class citizens. The jews who populate Israel are either direct or descended from immigrants. Given what the Nazi's did to the Jews it beggars belief they themselves could see another race of people as vermin.

    It is promising that finally some food is entering Gaza but their has been a concerted effort by Israel to starve people. That is simply unforgivable. That in itself, allied to the genocide is reason to dismantle the current state of Israel and reimagine the land as one where Palestinian are afforded equal rights on their own native land. Jews can remain only if they recognise a Palestinian as equal to them before the law with the same corresponding rights and respect afforded them.

    We also need to consign to history any BS that you can't criticise Israel and to do so is anti semitic. America has also suffered massive reputational damage. They have facilitated and tolerated a genocide. It is in it's gift to have the Israeli's stop the bombing and leave Gaza immediately. Due to the Jewish lobby in Washington they are unable to be an honest broker in the middle east.

    Netantahu is a bast*rd. As are his henchmen. All deserve to be hung for crimes against humanity. The October7th attacks were wrong. But they didn't occur in a vacuum. It is well past time the Palestinian people in Gaza were given the right to access food, water, healthcare free from interference from Israel. Their is talks of sanctions by some European countries against Israel. It is a belated but welcome development. Every pressure needs to be applied so that the Israeli regime collapses. It is important to remember that an Israeli life is not more precious than a Palestinian. All life has equal merit.

    Nine aid trucks were authorised to enter Gaza through the Kerem Shalom crossing after 11 weeks of a complete blockade, a mere “drop in the ocean of what is urgently needed”, the UN’s humanitarian chief, Tom Fletcher, said on Monday. Five trucks carrying baby food and other desperately needed aid entered Gaza, according to the Israeli defense body in charge of coordinating aid to Gaza, COGAT. The UN has long said Gaza needs at least 500 trucks every day.

    After increased international pressure, Israel allows baby food into Gaza. Baby food. The sheer revolting barbarity of Israel is completely and utterly unheard of in modern times. A vile and disgusting terrorist state openly declaring their plans for genocide while their supporters pretend there are no food shortages and everything in Gaza is fine, trying to weasel their way out of openly supporting genocide so they might sleep at night.

    I wish I were religious so I could truly believe that Israel-supporters would face judgement for this.

    The WHO has said around a quarter of the 2.1m population in Gaza are facing “a catastrophic situation of hunger, acute malnutrition, starvation, illness and death” due to the Israeli blockade.

    The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) ordered residents living in southern Gaza’s Khan Younis, Bani Suheila and Abasan to “evacuate immediately” ahead of an “unprecedented attack”.

    And starving a population like this, and then ordering them to just magically evacuate again and again, before carpet bombing is insane.

    Imagine if Russia ordered all Ukrainians out of Kiev before just completely destroying the entire city. It is impossible to imagine. The last time this sort of behaviour happened was the US warning people to evacuate before Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

    Israel are terrorists who have millions of people under their complete control and they are enacting some of the worst crimes against humanity in world history on them.

    These Israel supporters in here live under the delusion that we are all consuming some Hamas propaganda. No, we are literally listening to what Israel is telling us. They could not possibly be more explicit in their actions and intentions. They have normalised genocide to the point where their supporters actively defend it.

    Found this article interesting: https://www.genocidewatch.com/single-post/gaza-and-israel-war-and-genocide-2023-2024

    These are the signs of the genocidal process in Israel's war in Gaza:

    Israel's leaders persist in conflating all Palestinian people with Hamas. [classification];

    Israel’s leaders incite genocide against Palestinians by dehumanizing Palestinians as “human animals” and by summoning Biblical justification for genocide [dehumanization, polarization];

    Israel collectively punishes all Gazans for the actions of Hamas. Israel’s leaders deny that there are any innocent civilians in Gaza. This falsehood denies any duty to obey the laws of war, which require avoidance of attacks on civilians. [dehumanization, polarization];

    This collective punishment is used to justify the bombing and killing of tens of thousands of Palestinian women, children, and noncombatants, including at least 85 journalists [persecution, extermination];

    Israel has forcibly displaced 1.7 million Gazans from their homes into tent cities [persecution];

    Israel bombs and assaults hospitals where wounded civilians seek medical care and shelter [persecution, extermination];

    Israel bombs Palestinian refugee camps in Gaza [persecution, extermination];

    Israel bombs and attacks areas in Gaza to which it has directed civilians for their “safety” [persecution, extermination];

    Israel bombs “escape routes” it has designated for Palestinians fleeing Israeli attacks [persecution, extermination];

    Israel's blockade and siege of Gaza is producing widespread famine [persecution, extermination].

    Together, these actions demonstrate intent to commit genocide, the intentional destruction in part of the Palestinian people of Gaza.

    For reference, these are the 10 stages of genocide.. almost reads like a word for word playbook of what's happening https://www.genocidewatch.com/tenstages

    WRONG

    Hamas are still firing rockets https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/videos/international/hamas-fires-rockets-into-israel-idf-intensifies-gaza-attacks-amid-dozens-of-palestinian-casualties/videoshow/121256953.cms

    …which is gonna happen when they're constantly getting bombed. What realistically would they do otherwise? Lie down on sunbeds waiting for the war to end?

    A ceasefire is the only way to stop the tit for tat.

    You can't kill an ideology through bombing as that will just recruit more.

    Another balanced summary of the calls by UK, France and Canada for Israel to cease and desist.

    Worthy of highlighting is that UK and France are looking at recognising Palestine as an independent State.

    Yes 2 rockets. I posted yesterday that a quick Google showed less than 10 rockets in the past year and zero casualties. I'd say these home made rockets are no more powerful than flares. Hamas are no threat but obviously they should stop.

    What are they doing in the Hyacinth House?

    Hopefully Mark Carney will be a strong voice in all this. He's clearly no Zionist or right winger (the right wing populist and presumably pro-Israel crowd in Canada absolutely hate him). Trudeau was too weak on the Israel issue.

    I think there has been a really big shift in recent weeks in sentiment towards Israel from various western governments. I think it's more and more likely that sanctions are coming because it reaches a point where what Israel is doing is totally indefensible on any grounds.

    I think what pushed some governments over the edge yesterday was Israel's mockery of allowing just 5 aid trucks in claiming this was some sort of mercy act.

    I think what angered them even more was Nethanyahu's justification for allowing the trucks in. It was for "practical and diplomatic reasons" - not human decency.

    When Starmer and Von der Lyen spoke yesterday, they were clearly angry and surprisingly direct.

    Then statements started coming out that if Israel doesn't stop the offensive, allow aid in umimpeded and stop expanding settlements in the West Bank then Israel will be sanctioned.

    Needless to say this has taken a lot of observers by surprise as well as Israel itself.

    It should have happened months ago. The international political kneejerk reaction now is telling of the inadequate response from earlier in the conflict that has lead to the absolutely inhuman and deplorable conditions in Gaza.

    One other thing of major significance is that Netanyahu and his cabinet clearly have no intention of ending the bombardment of Gaza and are probably moving towards the ethnic cleansing of the enclave.

    The penny seemed to finally drop with European leaders in the last week. Way too late of course but even they can see now that the **** and his government are out of control and are not acting in 'self defence'.

    I can't imagine what horror is going on in Gaza at the moment that these leaders are now speaking out after a year and a half of remaining silent through the awful atrocities that have already been commited.

    I'm skeptical this is a moral stand (that ship sailed months ago), and can only surmise something extremely dark must be happening that these leaders feel their futures are at risk by remaining silent.

    Whatever the reason, hopefully this interjection will save lives.

    Leaders desperately trying to salvage something of their reputations by saying things that should have been said and actioned many many months ago.

    Jeremy Bowen links the start of the shift in sentiment towards Israel to the IDF executions of the 15 medics and all the lies that were told.

    The shift certainly started to become more forceful, from those who had only chided Israel up to that point, around that time. The increasing military campaign and the Israeli starvation tactics since then have just confirmed to the world that Israel is in berserker mode and will not stop voluntarily.

    Those in the know are well aware that regardless of any aid going into Gaza from now on will make no difference - people will starve and die - especially kids. Doctors reported that due to malnutrition over months and months, their teeth are falling out.

    That Israel has allowed just 5 aid trucks in is abhorrent but clearly makes the statement that Israel is only doing it to appease the crescendo of condemnation. People are not stupid though and will continue to pile the pressure on for the Genocide to stop. But even that is and will be too late for many innocents.

    The Fergal Keane report of a few weeks back hit the nail on the head and explained in very clear terms what the future was. This has resonated with many who bothered to read and understand what he wrote.

    Gazans are starving and will die in the coming days and weeks. The numbers of dead will steadily rise regardless of any aid let past the Israeli blockade. They will not be saved by Israel being forced to let aid in.

    That is the impending darkness. When those number tick up, people who could have been more forceful will have to live with the utter shame of allowing Israel to perpetrate Genocide. Should any journalists left in Gaza manage to take photographs, they will undoubtedly be similar to those taken 80 years ago in Concentration Camps. And they will be powerful and sickening.

    We do know that the non-sympathetic to Zionism EU member states like Ireland and Spain have been putting huge pressure on the EU Commission in the last week demanding action. There's probably a lot going on diplomatically behind the scenes we are not hearing about.

    It looks like though the penny has finally dropped that Netanyahu and the terrorist state are completely out of control and have no intention of stopping the onslaught against Gaza.

    My children aren't old enough to understand complex conflicts like this. In time, they’ll learn about these issues, and they’ll be allowed to make up their own minds about the conflict—and politics in general. It may be the case that they end up being horrified by my stance, and I’m fine with that. My job as a parent is to raise adults who can think for themselves.

    On the subject of using tanks in Gaza, I’m sure the IDF has valid reasons for their choices. They know far more about how to conduct a war of this scale than you or I do. Israel doesn’t think there are legitimate targets in Gaza—Israel knows there are. And if you were willing to engage with the middle ground on this conflict, even briefly, you would have to acknowledge that fact as well. As I’ve said before, Hamas has not surrendered, released the remaining hostages or handed over control of Gaza. Until that happens, legitimate targets remain. Who were the masked men who handed over Edan Alexander when he was released?

    Posters like you are just another part of the broader anti-Israel campaign that Hamas counts on to survive. The only other outcome of this conflict is the loss of Gaza, a loss to anyone, not just Israel, and a total defeat in this war, which would represent complete humiliation for Hamas, and a serious blow to your campaign. If Hamas is defeated, the likelihood of Palestine being "free from the river to the sea"—a vision that necessitates the destruction of the state of Israel, including it's people, actual genocide—becomes even more remote.

    On a final note, I'd advise you to take some time to read up on the number of rockets fired into Israel by Hamas and the other members of its 'axis of resistance', as well as the number of casualties over the past year.

    Just read this on Haaretz - an article describing how some Israelis are reacting to Oct 7th and Gaza. Its disturbing that people think like this and believe it.

    Destroying Gaza 'With Love': Israel's New YogiNazis
    Who said spirituality and ethnic cleansing don't go together? Israel is full of spiritual types who view the annihilation of the other as a form of personal growth

    There are many of these in present-day Israel. Spiritual people who view the annihilation of the other as a form of personal growth and the eradication of the enemy as empowerment. They live in one big retreat, where consciousness is so finely tuned that all noise disappears, all disturbances are muted, so that they are left with only themselves, them and their inner being – pure, compassionate, unsullied – and finally able to connect with what resided there all along, waiting to be revealed: The desire to annihilate and destroy millions of people, including children, women and the elderly. With great love.

    One day before Holocaust Remembrance Day, standup comedian and satirist Gil Kopatz, who has been flirting with spirituality and religion for years, posted the following: "If you feed sharks, they eventually eat you. If you feed Gazans, they eventually eat you. I support making sharks extinct and exterminating Gazans. Reflections for Holocaust Remembrance Day 2025."

    After the post generated a "storm," Kopatz posted a clarification: "I don't have an ounce of compassion for the Gazans. For Arabs as a whole, yes, for human beings as a whole, yes, for sharks – no, and not for human beasts." Of course, his desire to eradicate millions of people doesn't imply he's a bad person. Indeed, "I consider myself to be a humane, liberal and moral person," he writes. To top it off, he ends the post with a bit of dark humor: "It's not genocide, it's pesticide, and its essential." A regular riot that one, eh?

    Unfortunately, the article is paywalled. But you can get up to six articles per month free by signing up with your email.

    UN warning 14,000 babies could die in the next 48 hours if aid doesn’t reach them. By far the most dire statement yet.
