Would any of the above kits be any good ?

Or if anybody had any other suggestions that would be much appreciated.

I'm the wrong end of the country for local advice but I'd find a local tackle shop and start there.

The extra few quid for the tackle might be well worth it for the expert advice and pointers. It's very easy and disheartening to spend hours and days staring at the water and catching nothing, especially in saltwater, when you might be a few hundred yards from the right spot or a few hours too early or late.

I'd definitely drop into a tackle shop just to have a chat.

I'm guessing you're East Cork, there used to be T. H. Sports in Midleton, but if you're in town TW Murray is your man
