    Sugar.

Have to be in Roscoff on July 11th.

Same day they're cycling from Saint Malo to Mûr-de-Bretagne

It's avoidable, but will definitely have an impact

We bring a decent frying pan. Last year we brought the air fryer. Some good small chopping knives.

We bring stuff like rice, pasta, some detergents, mi wadi.

Here's a packing list I did a few years ago that I refer to when loading the car. I don't always bring everything! Also threw the airfryer in the boot last year and it was great having it.

If your kids are fussy eaters or vegetarians (like mine!) bring the things they will eat that are either not easily available or are very expensive in France…for us that was tortilla wraps, baked beans, gravy, curry powder, a particular type of pre made rice. Yes, they will branch out and try the local foods and find new things they love and yes we offer them a wide range of things but I am happy to bring some bits from home if we travel by car so that they have some familiar foods. They are always keen to go pick up their French favourites from the supermarket when we arrive, and load up on them for our return.

We always pack a strip extension cord so we can plug in our Irish devices, plus last year we bought a French one too as there are never enough plugs anywhere! And last year we bought a plancha so that is coming back with us :)

And we bring our own suncream and washing powder or liquid due to skin sensitivities.

Tea towels, some cloths for wiping down tables. Dish brush and fairy liquid maybe

Tin foil or baking paper as the over trays are often not very clean

    Corkscrew for wine bottles 😁

Oil spray to stop food sticking to pans

I bring a kind of a shopping bag essentials in case we aren't able to get to a shop on the first day for some reason. Generally some dried pasta, stir in sauce, part baked rolls, teabags, coffee sachets, bog roll, dishwasher tablets, surface spray and such

Don't bring full packs of stuff, just enough to get through the holiday to save space and weight

I'd also bring a few detergent capsules for laundry. We got stuck in France for a few extra days because of a dock-worker strike and needed to hit the laundrette to clean some clothes

This year I'm half considering bringing the air fryer as the ovens are usually fairly crap 😅

Air fryer is so handy, plus an extension cable.

    There is usually no oven

Yes true, I think only the premium and ultimate have ovens, and not all of them

Actually I just realised that Bella Italia doesn't have ovens so I'll have to bring the air fryer anyway

That'll look funny on the x-ray going through the airport 😅

4 gang extension lead is handy too. One adaptor > 4 devices.

Bringing the laundry pods/capsules is a great idea. In recent years we made the decision to travel lighter and do a wash every 4/5 days. Makes things so much easier.
