    Same day they're cycling from Saint Malo to Mûr-de-Bretagne

    It's avoidable, but will definitely have an impact

    We bring a decent frying pan. Last year we brought the air fryer. Some good small chopping knives.

    We bring stuff like rice, pasta, some detergents, mi wadi.

    Here's a packing list I did a few years ago that I refer to when loading the car. I don't always bring everything! Also threw the airfryer in the boot last year and it was great having it.

    If your kids are fussy eaters or vegetarians (like mine!) bring the things they will eat that are either not easily available or are very expensive in France…for us that was tortilla wraps, baked beans, gravy, curry powder, a particular type of pre made rice. Yes, they will branch out and try the local foods and find new things they love and yes we offer them a wide range of things but I am happy to bring some bits from home if we travel by car so that they have some familiar foods. They are always keen to go pick up their French favourites from the supermarket when we arrive, and load up on them for our return.

    We always pack a strip extension cord so we can plug in our Irish devices, plus last year we bought a French one too as there are never enough plugs anywhere! And last year we bought a plancha so that is coming back with us :)

    And we bring our own suncream and washing powder or liquid due to skin sensitivities.
