That's what most gaa managers do? The hurling world in top counties is pretty small and players managers know each other well. Pat Ryan last year could have made a big deal of free at end but accepted it and moved on. After a match all managers and players should shake hands.

    🤣🤣

Cork lads on here going on about the all Irelands they won years ago, it's only cork that seem to have this aura of entitlement about them just cos they were good a quarter of a century+ ago!

I've haven't seen one clare fan on here commenting that they deserve multiple all Irelands or they're the greatest team ever, or raving about past glorys so I dunno where you're getting this Real Madrid comparison from, but there's plenty of cork posters doing it, whether it's trolling or genuine, who knows!

You're clearly very bitter about clare for some reason. At least we have had all Irelands to defend in the last few years..... And have beaten cork in both those finals, so that's the root cause of bitterness I'd wager!

Aside from the fact that most of your post is horsesh1t, thank you for proving my point of the "back in your box" mentality that you seem to have. The years of only Tipp and Cork dominating things are long gone and it's time accept it.

Oh and I know I'd definitely prefer two all Ireland's in 11 years than sweet fcuk all in 20.

He didn't need to go searching for forde but he did, that was decent.

Hard to claim to be greatest team ever if you can't win back to back or even make consecutive finals now to be fair. The best Clare team was no doubt 1995 to 1999 time frame. 2013 was a bit lucky and cork were average enough then as well to make final. Last year could have gone either way. This year I always thought it was Limerick were team to beat and we'll know more after next Sunday as to where they are at.

I've rarely met a Clare fan that is anything other than living in hope rather than have any aura of confidence.

The All Ireland last year was on the back of a few years of Munster finals and getting out of Munster it wasn't some flash in the pan 'lucky' strike as some would like to suggest.

A bad year won't finish this team more left to play in the majority of them.

Let's not forget what happened to Tipp after their last All Ireland look at their record since then. A comeback was always on the cards for them their underages have been very very strong for years.

Any examples of these 'dirty tactics'? Going on the evidence at the weekend Clare were more sinned against than sinners. Tipp defenders pulled down Clare players for any goal chance. Craig Morgan even had to come back to take one for the team near the end as so many of the Tipp defenders were already on yellow cards.

Any sideline footage I saw showed Cahill as the one shouting at officials and opposition players/mgmt… The evidence contradicts your theories.

Should he shake hands with all managers after matches?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 390 ✭✭17togo

Again, I've said we've never claimed it. But because we can't claim it does it take away from the legitimacy of our all Irelands win?!

If cork had beaten clare in 2013 and 2024 I guarantee you they wouldn't, nor would anyone else, have considered it a lucky win.

Comments like that are just typical of the "traditional" 🙄 counties attitude towards the smaller county's upsetting the applecart. Not sure what county you're from but I'd take a guess at either cork or tipperary going by the comment.

    Total bitterness.

Up to him who he shakes hands with. None of us know what is said on sidelines between managers. He went searching for forde on the pitch. Was nice touch after essentially exiting the championship, that's all I'm saying.

I have zero bitterness about any team winning. Both teams in 2013 didnt go on to do much after is the point. Limerick, Galway and Tipp were the dominant forces for rest of decade. Very few teams are standout. Cork 2003 to 2006. Kilkenny for 2002 to 2012. Limerick 2018 onwards.

Talk about deflection. Any managers who don't shake hands after a match is a nonsense. No example to show kids or their players.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,319 ✭✭✭newhouse87

Who Didn't he shake hands with? if it was Davy, well I couldn't argue he should have in that case.

The sliotar needs to be rolled back, much like the golf ball in golf.

It goes far too far nowadays.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,662 ✭✭✭munsterlegend

Nonsense the pair of them. Grown adults. He also didn't shake hands with LiamCahill after a match.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 903 ✭✭✭Krazy gang

I've never heard anyone from clare say they're the benchmark of hurling. No idea where you're getting that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,430 ✭✭✭Seadin

Clare are certainly not dominating I can accept that. They havent won Munster since 1998 and in that time Cork have won more munster titles and All Irelands than Clare 1998-2024 and Cork are the ones going through a famine. Corks famine won't be as long as Clares though when ye won the All Ireland in 1995. Took ye almost a century to bridge the gap. Clare also couldnt beat Limerick when it mattered most, Cork had to do that for ye last year. Funny enough the counties in munster with the least amount of titles are the most loud ones when it comes to hurling. A sort of bitterness because some of the other countries have won alot of All Irelands. We will just get on with it and look forward. Cork won't be far away in the next few years. Back in your box kid.

I am a tipp man and I have dealt with Brian Lohan a few times and he is a very decent and straight character.
I don’t know him and not making out I do.
I am not surprised he won an all Ireland with Clare - runs a good ship

I think what's really crawling under the skin is the fact that Cork beat Limerick last year, but then lost to Clare. They thought they only had to beat Limerick and were entitled to the All Ireland. Or at least one poster seems to think that.

Simon Harris is monitoring the situation...

That and the fact that Clare have the Indian sign over them.

In the last few years only. Clare are out of championship for 2025. They werent there for Cork to get another shot at them. It's still Cork 30 Clare 5.

Worry about your own team getting out of munster. How many shots do ye need?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,430 ✭✭✭Seadin

No team is entitled to an All Ireland they are hard earned. Clare were the better team on the day and I'm fine with that. But some of the cockiness of the Clare fans when they are on a good spell over Cork at the moment is unbearable. But Clare haven't beaten Cork in their last two encounters and especially the last game with the ref on yer side. You won't get that from Tipp or Limerick fans as much. I suppose its due to them enjoying good success in the sport as well.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 390 ✭✭17togo

You'll need to point to where the cockiness is coming from clare other than in your head. I've never seen it in the media, in person or on here.

Maybe you work with a few clare lads that love winding you up cos they see how bitter you are!?

Pretty much every Cork fan congratulated Clare on their deserved win last year.

Feel like parrot but better team won and likes of Pat Ryan and Donal OG gave zero excuses for the defeat as did most Cork fans. Cork were poor enough on day if honest.

But then you had posters here make up fairy conspiracy theories about Cork, especially they invented certain rules. This even been going on last few weeks. It's same posters too.

Are Cork saints? no they ain't. Have Cork bent rules in past? Yes. Have Cork got got dodgy decisions 100%.

Dont have problem people hating Cork. That's 1000% fine to me. Never lost sleep over it.

But consistency of events lately are kinda ironic. It's also ironic that posters have issues when people praise a county but because it's not their own they have a stroppy reaction to it.

You can't talk about certain events in games without somebody bringing up something about incident as far back as 70s.

Some well able give it but can't take it. Bullying indeed......

Cork were good for first 20 mins and then went out of it. Anyway a year older a lot of these younger lads now. Is team better than last year? Yes I think so with better squad when everyone fit.

Limerick will be very tough and know more about them after Sunday.Certainly prefer Clare to be gone rather than Tipp or Waterford in Munster and not beyond the bounds of possibility that Clare could scrape through.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 35,453 ✭✭✭✭The_Kew_Tour

Intrigued to see how Tipp v Waterford game goes. I think we know much better where either of these teams stand in relation to AI this year.

Kinda feel it's now or never for Waterford to get out of Munster.

I think Limerick will beat us Sunday. Up in Limerick think they want put proper marker down. Should be good game.

Still hard to know exactly where Limerick are. The teams they played both beat Clare but it's hard to know what that means this year.

Whoever wins in Limerick on Sunday puts their big rival in a sweaty position on the final day while maybe getting to rest up themselves.
