delete drivers

    My mouse and keyboard drivers only work in safe mode. Internet too. I think it's a driver problem how do i delete all drivers for mouse, keyboard and any driver cache. i'm posting from someone else's pc so it may be a while before i can reply

    PC make/model ?

    Keyboard and mouse make/model ?

    Go to keyboard/mouse manufacturer support page and download drivers that appropriate for your OS

    Go to device manager and select your keyboard (mouse) »properties - here you can delete driver
    or
    » update driver » "Browse my PC…" » point to folder where you have downloaded the driver

    My instinct there would be that the USB controller is the issue more so. It's the common element that would stop both working simultaneously.

    If all that is not working there is likely another reason than drivers, safe mode is probably not loading the issue

    If you have restore enabled trying going back to a previous version

    Windows has drivers for all mice/keyboards/ethernet cards - you shouldn't need to download anything unless there is extra buttons that can be programmed for example

    Try a limited start i.e. disable all non microsoft programs with msconfig and maybe run from a cmd prompt

    sfc /scannow

    I suspect you're right . Other usb things like camera often won't work . How to fix? Thank you .

    I don't have a restore , tried limited start and scannow. How to find what safe mode is not loading ?

    The driver won't delete, .evenin safe mode. It hangs. I'm going to boot from an external disk to see if I can delete it

    The same methods for uninstalling the drivers given already can be used for the USB controller.

    You could also try installing updated ones if you have older ones installed.
