Getting a taxi from the city centre at 4 a.m. on Sunday - best rank?

We need to catch an early flight from Shannon on Sunday week (18th), and we'd prefer to not rely on booking someone (had problems before).

So where can we reliably get a taxi from at that time of the morning on a Sunday? Colbert station? William Street? Arthurs Quay?

I occasionally drive through the city around that time and don’t remember ever seeing a taxi on rank. If it was me I’d be booking in advance.

would the bus be an option? Doesn’t it run 24hrs now? I think it has a stop at Dunnes on Henry street or the Strand Hotel.

Good point re the bus, though it's only once an hour, and I'll be travelling with someone who's infirm, so we'd prefer a taxi.

Can anyone recommend a reliable taxi company? When using taxis (which is rare these days) it's at normal times of the day and I just walk to a rank or flag one down, because of one a company that let us down once. I want to reduce the chances of something going wrong.

I don't use taxis very often so cannot recommend anything, sorry.

You can prebook ubers and both times I've done it, it has been reliable. Once was around the same time you are looking for as I was getting a taxi to Arthurs Quay to get the bus to Dublin airport.

Wish I'd known that. Unfortunately I've prepaid (don't know whether I can cancel).

I prebook with Freenow and don't have issues in general.
