That's normally more the time alright but if it's nice this early in the season might as well take advantage

The CFS for what it's worth has dry conditions for next 40 days before the Thunder and rain comes mid June. Small rainfall between now and then.

That middle photo is a piece of art. Imagine that enlarged and framed on a wall. Even when you enlarge it on the phone it looks mesmerising . Well done !

What a lovely May bank holiday weekend we're all getting, it certainly makes up for the poor Easter one. I'm happy out with the temps on the slightly lower side, the scorchios can wait til proper summer, imo. The sunshine, blue skies and long days make it a perfect May for me. And great to hear that it's due to continue.😀

Lovely day getting up just over 17C here near Tralee. The steady breeze died away late afternoon/ early evening, out around North Kerry and it looked wonderful.

Very cold in Strandhill today but very sunny. Sea breeze from the Northwest was very strong and cold. Look at the forecast though. Yellow grass arriving soon I'd say.

Gorgeous blue skies in Arklow today with the contrast of the sea colour in the distance. Still the layers couldn't be far away with the cool breeze at times.

    5⁰ currently Wicklow Hills

I was camping on Inish Oirr Saturday night. The day itself was perfect, warm and still and the sun was shining the whole day but Saturday night was pretty wild with the wind. Very cold then yesterday morning and coming back on the ferry. Back in Wicklow now and another glorious sunny day here although chillier than during the week.

A pretty widespread air frost last night for the time of year. Locally 3 official stations in Donegal went below 0.

Hovering around 16C here near Tralee , lying out in the sun and needed to go to the most sheltered part of the garden as the cool NE'ly breeze further up the garden just a bit nippy especially when the sun goes behind the clouds momentarily but a stunner of a day again with lovely deep blue skies and passing Cumulus Humilis cloud.

This years recently planted herb garden thriving in the good weather.

Lovely day in Greystones but chilly (to cold). 11.1c atm. Sitting out in the sun fully jacketed!

    BTW…not sitting on railway tracks!

    Unreal spell of weather!

We'll no doubt pay for it with a bad summer but at least unlike last year we've actually got a prolonged sunny spell when there's plenty of heat in the sun

Stunner of a day again here near Tralee, got over 17C at my sheltered site.

Looking towards the Slieve Mish Mt's this evening, great crop of silage.

Gorgeous blue skies all day in North Dublin. Still chilly but some heat in that sun thankfully.

Out well wrapped up because was quite chilled out yesterday .

Forecast good for the week but East coast a few degrees lower than the rest of you.

I don't mind as long as we have this beautiful sunshine .

Are we technically into Summer now ?

Class day. The whitethorn is amazing at this time of year. It looks like snow.

No harm putting some water out for the birds. They need it.

We usually pay for it at some stage. Let’s hope it’s short lived. Can’t be dealing with another crap summer for a third year in a row.
