I work mostly from home for an Irish company. I moved up north and head home every Friday to work in the office. I might be moving to Scotland for a year. I'm going to ask my company can I work from there and come home a week a month. Not sure about the legality of it so just asking here before I bother to ask or not. Would hate to leave my job, I'm with them over ten years.

I don’t think you can unless your company has offices in Scotland (or maybe UK). I would imagine the main issue would be income tax as you would effectively work and live in Scotland.

this does get complicated in regards tax, i suspect you may have to pay tax in both jurisdictions

Since you’re remotely working from Northern Ireland, you should have an Irish and UK tax roll by your employer so it should be fine.

If you’re payroll isn’t split atm, you’re already breaking the rules and will get yourself and your company into trouble Revenue.
