Our kicking has been shambolic. We're literally handing the ball back to allow Saints to run around us

    Turgid stuff so far.

Unless Northampton completely collapse in the 2nd half I just can’t see how Leinster get back into this, they are just too far off the pace.

SP so bad he's blamed for TOB's tackling now. Amazing.

What on earth was the point of bringing Barrett over here for 6 months if not to play games like this. Totally defeats the purpose of bringing in a galactico

Leinster should be even further behind, the VDF try should never have stood. Bizarre how Deegan wasn’t penalised.

Northampton are getting the bounce of every ball. Leinster aren't getting any luck.

But the old adage of "the harder you work the luckier you get" probably applies.

Northampton good value for the lead. And odds on favourite for the win now.

Whoever in the NH coaching team is responsible for their analysis should absolutely take a bow.

as an other province supporter I am not unhappy to see how this is going. the irfu is so vested in Leinster hopefully finally things will change. David Humphrey's get this **** sorted

He was terrible for the 2nd as well, had to just launch himself at Pollock. Snyman didn’t cover himself in glory for that one either

Snyman looking very average in that first half..

I still think Leinster will win tbh, to the point I checked the odds; it looks like they're variously 4/7 and 8/15 to win from here? Which is nuts and speaks to their quality.

SP fell off Augustus letting him through to set up Freeman.

Have to wonder why the defense wasn't more prepared to deal with Northampton speed getting to the edge? The try down the right wing was very straightforward passing that left us completely exposed

Was that last penalty at half time not elbows on the ground? Haven't seen much in the way of replays but looked on first viewing like the jackler went to ground first

Seeing wingers with real pace, something we're lacking at provincial and national level.

Also as a supporter of another province that’s a **** take, I would be gutted to see Leinster go out of this. Support any other nations team against an Irish side, no way.

Yeah but it likely won't need to constantly be covered for. He's not going to stay as he is forever.

He'll put on another 5 kilos and improve his physicality.

Inaccurate lineout to give Northampton the perfect attacking platform on halfway

I'll need to look at it again, but didn't think he was even SPs man. Where was the rest of the defence, they had two men over on the short side. Blaming SP for our defense being more disorganised than I've seen it this year is just patently ridiculous, is my point. People are just looking for an excuse to sh*t on him. He's not the problem. Our pack are making poor decisions. Synman trying to make more ground just before half time and getting a maul called was dumb, and he just about got away with it. Need to stop forcing things and get our defense sorted.

And we knock on from the lineout. FFS

    Another dreadful lineout

    Very poor pass from JGP.

Some steal from JVDF. And then we cough it up. C'mon lads.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,940 ✭✭✭✭AbusesToilets

Why is Jordie not on ffs?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 250 ✭✭noc1980

Pundits were saying that Barrett will start the final. I think it's time we accept that non-Irish fans aren't wrong when they say we're arrogant. Over the hill players and mediocre coaches, this result shouldn't be all that surprising.

  • Hosted Moderators Posts: 8,812 ✭✭✭fitz

Very...but calling it a knock on is very harsh, the ball stayed completely stationary.

  • Hosted Moderators Posts: 8,812 ✭✭✭fitz

    Savage kick from Lowe.
