Fiskars small axe in Lidl at the moment. €25 (and €35 for larger). Lightweight. Anyone know if these are reasonable quality/value? Thanks

I got my axe and raise you their USB rechargable torch. Similar to Led Lensor above but bigger. Wall mount included. Anyone tried this?
It isn't on the current newsletter so I can't find a link. About €15 or €20 or so.
Might have to drop in again.

I have one of their USB torches similar size to the LED Lensor. I only paid a fiver for it as I couldn't leave it all alone in one of their reduced bins. Anyway excellent torch but cost me a €300 in the damage it did. Suffice it to say I won't be plugging it in to charge it on a computer USB interface ever again - had to replace a couple of motherboards. I now keep it and charge it in the car.

Water Filter - a bit of a pricey item but this is the first time I've seen this under £100 in the last 4 years normally around £150. We use one all the time just because our Irish Water tastes crap.

There's also a deal on extra filters which we find for a family of 3 last 6 months (4000 liters for the pair).

LIdl have a special offer on gardening trousers at present/last week. Green with black knees. Very bushcrafty. 18euro for two.

Spotted this in Lidl today and bought a couple - €7.99. Bought them to add to bug out bags and mini tool sets as a cheap and very compact way of adding a saw. There was also a set with small files so I got one of those as well. I'll be throwing the boxes out or at least repurposing them as as all I need is the saw handle and three blades (wood, general purpose and metal).

Tidy. Do the blades store in the handle?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,807 ✭✭✭The Continental Op

Unfortunately not. I had been trying to get a mate to 3D print me some handles for ages. It would have probably cost me more so I was delighted to see these.

They are jigsaw blades so not that long. I don't plan to carry a gardening saw around with me ;-) Sorry I didn't put in any scale but I think the price might indicate they aren't that big.
