Key points from the manager of kneecap on prime time:

    1. band standing on right side of history

    2. Concerted campaign in the US against them

    3. Were in the space of moral outrage - some reference then to kier Starmer (where have I heard that more than once on this thread this evening?)

    4. Back to moral hysteria outrage examples going back 3 years

5 the 3rd time Miriam asked the question around the comments made and he’s now accusing her of “buying in”

    6. Back to Kier Starmer again

    7. This is a total distraction from assassinating children

So- every single argument above that the manager put forward on prime time this evening, I’ve had put to me time and time again .

He didn’t address the key issue- the behaviour of the band and what they said.

I’ve heard enough- both from him and certain posters here who are obviously part of what this band represents if not the actual band members themselves, which wouldn’t surprise me at all - his responses are way too close to what some posters have said here this evening - likely “followers” parroting back his words from X/social media

Clearly backs what's going on in Gaza while up in arms about what some band said. Some compass there.

    Let me guess.

The manager's main/only point was 'but Israel '.

A thundering one. He's the CEO of Bohs is that correct? If Shane Coleman doesn't have a word to say about this in the morning I'll be shocked.

And a Pogues T-shirt? WTAF? Is he trying to associate them with this?

Cyprus hill and Eminem are clever though, nuances, satirical, literate.

If they are prosecuted it will be for incitement to harm [sic] Conservative MP's (note how that is specifically targeting) and it will be in Britain not here.

They could also be prosecuted, if enough evidence is found, of supporting at least two proscribed terrorist organisations in Britain.

The British people know what happened in particular to a mother for social media posts at the time of the Southport murders last year (a post with a very tiny reach if any at all) she deleted and apologised for and was given a near 3 year prison sentence so this will also be a test for Starmer.

A thing isn't what it says it is.

A thing is what it does.

I'm saying (and have repeated myself) people need to be responsible for their own actions. If you're incited to go out and commit a crime or kill someone because a band you listen to said so, that's a you problem.

I’d be very surprised if they weren’t prosecuted - it’s low hanging fruit - it won’t save a politicians life at this stage as they’ve been “outed” so to speak - it will be a “show example of” sort of trial - god love the judge having to listen to bullsh1t distraction tactics and whataboutery for days on end

Clearly you are trying to deflect from what some band said. But I’m not surprised.

Kneecap should also be responsible for their own actions too right. For the things they actually said themselves

A court case would not be good news for Starmer or the British government. Testimony about the group's alleged support for Hamas would also mean the UK's arming of Netanyahu would be plastered all over the media (as the group could use this as part of their defence) - a subject Starmer does not want discussed, least of all in a high profile trial.

Miriam O'C was very weak - I wonder was she afraid if she asked hard questions would Kneecap say kill (or at least attack) the TV questioner? Maybe she does not want to be looking over her shoulder everywhere she goes?

Yes, no different to their own statement that words are not the issue, actions are. If history tells us anything indiscriminate actions of hate stem from indiscriminate words of hate. Do you wander around stating elected representatives should be killed? If not why would you possibly excuse people who might have far more influence than you doing the same?

Two innocent MPs were murdered in the UK and these idiots were encouraging people to kill more politicians.

As for Hamas and Hezbollah, they aren't even denying what they said about supporting them.

Also worth noting that the widower and daughter of the two MPs who were murdered basically told them to stuff their half hearted apology.

That was a car crash interview on Prime Time, unsurprisingly. Miriam tried to be in some way sympathetic given the state of affairs in Gaza but manager had an angle he wouldn't deviate from. He just came across as pig headed.

Lets face it, a group called kneecap fashioned as a terrorist group was never going to end well.

That band and their manager should have listened to the lovely Queen Elizabeth (now deceased):

    Don't apologise.

    Don't explain.

(But don't cause this sh!t storm in the first place).

It's kinda hilarious how this is apparently the biggest scoop in Irish news right now, journalists from all sides being played for absolute ****!ng flutes

I disagree- I read it as she gave the manager numerous opportunities to “explain” the bands position- and all he wanted to do was go on about the war and politicians and what not - so she likely said in her own mind - fine, I gave them plenty of chances, they’re not either interested or capable - and she closed the interview - I thought she did great

Once again, If you're incited to go out and commit a crime or kill someone because a band you listen to said so, that's a you problem.

Agree with that, but as well as the most recent 2 MPs murdered there were plenty murdered before that too by Republicans in balaclavas. They simply should not be let away with this intimidation / egging people on to physically attack politicians they do not agree with.

Four out of five MPs have been victims of intrusive or aggressive behaviour, study finds

In the same way it's important to say that Enoch Burke is not being prosecuted for his opposition to transgenderism, something people on the right like to claim, kneecap are not in trouble for their support of Palestine, as some on the left are trying to claim.

The manager of Kneecap is an idiot. It's all Israel's fault apparently.

He refused to say what the band said was wrong.

They best prepare for a quiet summer if that is how they apologise.
