Wired HKC Alarm - Upgrade to Newer ? And Window Sensor affixing Q

looking for some advice.

currently have old HKC wired alarm, getting new windows in so alarm installer will be upgrading to new sensors on windows and maybe new box.

if i wanted to have access via an app, can you use the HKC in this way with a new box while sensors are wired , or is it specific to wireless system that you use the app?

and an oddball question, window installer doesnt want the alarm guy drill in sensors to frames, rather glue them to the frames - ive never heard of this before ?

Alarm installer says glue wont last as long as screws , obviously. Anyone glued in sensors before to frames ?

Yes i have glued for a few installs in the past , as per request , and have always been called back to re-glue or screw in the end.

spoke to installer, he is going to screw in the sensors, says the screws only need a small bite, so should be ok.

looking at HKC panel to allow for the app, but i believe its subs paid, so will see.

I rather not glue them myself as they can eventually fall off if you dont use enough glue, plus its messy on a new window.

If you have a 1070 or later then the app can be added to this panel. Its a hybrid panel so can take wired and wire free sensors.

we have an older panel, not sure of model, but it works ok, but going to upgrade to newer app panel, but good idea re wired and wireless sensors.

If the control panel is the white box, its a 1070 or later which just needs a software update as apposed to panel upgrade to have the app.
