Cancelled Network Security

Hi all

Doing some research for my parents. They've been with network security for the last 5 years and plan to cancel their monitoring subscription next month. They want to continue using the same alarm just don't want to pay for monitoring. My mother thinks she was told on the phone that they will have no app to self control the system after they leave.

Surley this isn't the case?

They should own the system and have control or access to the app they have used previously as they own the system outright after 3 years on contract.

Or is there a different app they need to use after leaving?

Do they not have to hand over a certain about of admin control to the end user after the contract ends?

Edit. I see in the fine print of an email they received that Home Secure are offering them a €10 a month contract for app access only. That seems like a terrible deal to have access to something they should own outright.
