I don't know who these people are and i don't like Rap music if that's what they play. Too old for that. Anyone advocating violence is a fool. I have no problem with anyone pointing out Genocide and calling for an end to it but if you advocate violence then it is hypocritical.

I have plenty of British friends who say "the only good Tory is a dead Tory".

I'm not a fan as I find the whole act to be childish contrived controversy baiting but what I find absolutely hilarious is the baiting is so unbelievably effective.

Have people learned nothing from the Life of Brian or the Passion of St.Tibulus. Detractors are giving them exactly what they want.

I've seen this said on SM but I haven't seen any reliable sources. Is it true or just wishful thinking (on both sides!)

I’m not sure , it came up on my phone . I think their management parted ways with them .

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,670 ✭✭✭volchitsa

I saw that claim about US visas made on Twitter the other day, but none of it seemed to be sourced. But maybe that's changed since then - no videos at that point IIRC. I haven't seen anything about their management yet.

I do think they would love to play the victim on this though, so I wouldn't be surprised if both their supporters and their detractors were keen to run with these rumours.

That's why I'm waiting for a reliable source before I believe that.

    Not me.

Not a music person, but I'd never heard of them until talk about a film or something last year. That video posted though tells me all I need to know about them, or anyone who still regards them after that.

The film is very good and worth a watch. Their music not so much. They hark from an era of the 60's/70's with that attitude. If that attitude was still prevalent in NI to this day, there would be no hope for the place.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,975 ✭✭✭✭elperello

I know people like that too but they are vegan left wingers who wouldn't hurt a fly.

It's different when it's said by a loudmouth bunch from NI wearing balaclavas.

I'm not sure what they want and I don't care really but I suspect they'll get something they don't want before long.

That's the childish defense that Maga morons use to defend their Orange king, "he triggers da libs~" ,yep calling out Israel, the UK & the USA for their role in the genocide of the Palestine people is admirable, but cheerleading terrorist organizations like Hamas and Hezbollah is just ugh.

Maybe its triggering reactionary conservatives , but that doesn't mean its something to admire.

    Nobody elected Kneecap.

Big difference getting a giggle out of artists doing it and electing someone on that basis.

The oldest of them is 36 or 37, so he was a child when the GFA was signed. The youngest is about 26, so he is the same age the the agreement.

They're fakes - they have no idea what it was like back then - and they're more about sectarianism than anything else.

Saw the video where they're calling for people to kill their local MP's.

They deserve to be dragged over the coals for that, never mind the pro Hamas and Hezbollah rhetoric in other clips circulating.

MP's have been murdered in the UK, so there's absolutely no defending that type of crap.

    Glazers Out!

They have often claimed they represent both sides of the North.

These chants don't really suggest that's true at all.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,554 ✭✭✭silliussoddius

Claiming to support a Free Palestine and chanting for groups like Hammas and Hezzbollah that offer nothing like a free country has nothing to do with balls size, but everything to do with brain size. At best it complete and utter stupidity, at worse complete and utter psychotic.

And as for people thinking this is playing into the hands of zionists, that’s why support of Palestine is associated with anti semitism.

Who needs enemies when you have people like this claiming to be on your side?

They come across as morons, imagine a loyalist band chanting up the UVF

Just on the RTE news, US Visas cancelled.

    Ben Lowry imagines it here.

Didn't realise they were that old. I kinda gave them a bit of leeway because I thought they were in their early 20's.

The lad in his 30's should certainly remember as much as me so should have a fair idea what it was like.

Still though all the controversy is essentially feeding the trolls.

The amount of pearl clutching on this thread is off the charts.

They've been around since 2017, I highly doubt they'll be splitting up or ceasing being kneecap over this, sorry to report 🤣

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,641 ✭✭✭ceadaoin.

How is their own behaviour "playing into the hands of the zionists" exactly? the "zionists" arent forcing them to loudly support terrorist groups and call for politicians to be murdered. That's their own stupid fault and the only people they have to blame for the consequences are themselves

If some far right types were calling for politicians to be murdered you'd be the first one clutching your pearls in response.

A little less hypocrisy would look good on some people around here.

The type of behaviour being discussed here isn't a bit of fun.

Their US booking agent dropped them so means they have to apply for new Visas.

Anyway is this why SF promote a Palestinian state so much? Is Kneecap's moronic stance and statements simply par for the course amongst the Nationalist community? No end of Palestinian flegs on display up there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,554 ✭✭✭silliussoddius

Yeah. Hammas great bunch of lads, and given their attitude towards music festivals it makes perfect sense for artistes to support them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,084 ✭✭✭MrMusician18

It is a major setback for them though. I can't see them getting visas let alone bookings in the States now and their other comments about MPs will draw the UK establishment down on them.

That leaves them stuck on this island.

Left wing terrorism is far more dangerous in the EU then right wing and these are poster boys for left wing extremism. Dangerous individuals and it's such a shame these guys are the poster boys for my native tongue.

I'm still happy they promote the language but they need to open a history book.

This country has a massive problem with brain dead far left morons who just spout off supporting every terrorist movement going thinking they are making some sort of intelligent, astute point.

We are a joke on the global stage politically and rightly so.
