Farmington District, Los Angeles. The Barn is under siege—but not from outside forces. Corruption lurks within, hidden behind badges and friendly smiles.

    Untitled Image

For years, the Strike Team has operated in the shadows—stealing from drug busts, covering up crimes, and taking justice into their own bloody hands. Now, they’ve crossed a line too far. A fellow officer lies dead under suspicious circumstances, and whispers ripple through the precinct.

    But justice has its champions.

    Untitled Image

Captain David Aceveda senses something rotten beneath the surface. Detective Claudette Wyms watches everyone with sharp eyes and sharper instincts. Dutch Wagenbach, brilliant and often underestimated, is chasing threads only he can see. Together with other honest and influential cops, they must expose the traitors among them before more lives are lost.

    Untitled Image

But the Strike Team won’t go down without a fight. They’re embedded, calculated, and deadly. They meet in secret, silencing threats, forging alibis, and manipulating investigations. Not to mention - help from the inside in Ben Gilroy.

    Untitled Image

Each day, the precinct gathers. Accusations fly. Lies stack up.

Each night, the Strike Team makes their move.

Can truth and justice prevail? Or will Vic Mackey and his crew take the Barn down with them?

Welcome to The Shield: Werewolf Edition.

    Game Rules:

    1) Once you are eliminated, do not post in the thread again. Absolutely no editing or deleting posts for any reason, once you make a post it cannot be changed. Eliminated players should also not thank active players' posts, for obvious reasons. Once you are eliminated you will receive a PM with a link providing access to a safe space where you can discuss the game away from the view of the players as soon as Trigger or Necro can get to it.

    2) Don’t cheat, it’s a game that relies heavily on the players having integrity. No PMing other players in the game. If you have any concerns about the game mechanics or the integrity of other players contact the mods who will make a decision, if one is required to be made. Do not discuss any of this in game or elsewhere, and please don’t discuss any aspects of the game elsewhere on the site whilst the game is ongoing. Always remember, there may be secrets.

    3) Please all try to reasonably contribute to the game thread and always remember to get a vote in (where it is possible for you to do so) as a minimum. 2 missed votes will result in a modkill. Arranging a substitution is not always possible unfortunately.

    4) No posting of any PM's from the game mod. You may refer to the information contained within if you wish, but paraphrase, do not quote them verbatim.

    5) Game starts with Sunday considered as an extended Day 1, with the first Yeet at 9.30pm Monday Evening (some role actions may take place prior to this on Monday only, no actions will take place on the Sunday). After 9.30pm Monday will be considered night 1. Set time for Munch is 10am & for Yeet is 9.30pm. This game will also operate with (semi) closed nights - the thread will close at 11pm and reopen with the morning announcements at 10am in the morning from night 1 onwards. This is to both give the mods and players some respite from having to follow the thread all the time.

    6) You will be provided with a voting code in your role PM. Do not share your vote form password to anyone else. All votes for the eliminations/yeets have to be made by yourself. Voting will be done via Google Yeeting forms with the link provided in the OP. In the event of a tied vote on an elimination/yeet, the yeeted player will be decided by last vote cast. Voting form link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeJVC1B2tj6EXrY6O33UqPYiwObbH3HEolVHsd3H63KVZiD4Q/viewform?usp=header

    7) Policy on Abuse: Boards has a no-abuse rule in place that is in effect in this forum as well. By all means, call people on dodgy behaviour, point out if they are being silly or behaving strangely, be aggressive in your approach; but DO NOT abuse another player. If you feel another player has stepped over a line, the first step is to ask them to stop; if they do not, please PM a forum mod (Trigger) or use the report button on the post in question. Forum mods will investigate and action any issues at an appropriate time, keeping the game mods informed of any actions as needed.

    8) Autopriest: This game runs with autopriest, so a player’s role will be revealed after their demise.

    9) Have fun, make memes, take the piss and try to enjoy the game. Don’t look in grey areas not covered by these rules for any advantages and try to make the game enjoyable for all. This is an anonymous game so please don’t post in the thread under your real boards identity if you can help it, and if you do please quote the post with your anon account so players can associate the post with the correct account. Character claiming is frowned upon however this does not prevent a player from disclosing the abilities they may (or indeed may not) have.

NB: Not a rule but important, especially given the drop off of Forum Games the past few years. We have new players playing or perhaps watching this game, so please make them feel welcome in the forum by behaving respectfully with your fellow players. If anyone new is reading this, we have a glossary of terms and acronyms which I have linked below, as well as the beginner’s guide, which is available to all within the werewolf sub forum. You can also PM Trigger or Necro for access to discuss the game away from the view of the players.

    Win Conditions:

Wolf/Strike Team Win: Gain parity with the village.

Village Win: Eliminate the wolf team.

    Hi All,

From my first reading it looks like someone will show green when peeked, see Ben Gilroy working on inside.

Also manipulation seems to me that people have have their votes changed so watch for that. Lists of who we are voting for are essential right from day 1 so help avoid this.

Just fyi, I'm moving house today and tomorrow so won't be active until Monday. I'll check in now and again, however.

I’ve never watched The Shield. And know nothing about the show. Though I’m shocked how many of the actors in the pictures I recognise.

Anyway, in lieu of knowing anything about the show, I’ll be relying on Agents of Sheild gifs instead. Which I’m sure is the superior show…

I vote to lynch Wendy straight out the gate.

There had never been more will there ever be a better show than the shield. End of discussion. Vic Makay is the hero we didn't know we needed

Apart from in this game obviously, in this game we kill him

    But after Wendy

Good morning people. Also afraid to say I've never watched the show.

With absolutely nothing major happening in the world of sport today I can see it being a busy day in here 😁😁😁😁

so, do we reckon it’s 12 vs 4 or 13 vs 3? The latter feels more likely.

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 4,429 ✭✭✭Brendan WW

Morning all, 16 players so I'm guessing 2-3 wolves. Any theories on this role? I know ow Wendy guessed they'd peek as good but it might be a role?

Not to mention - help from the inside in Ben Gilroy.

”But the Strike Team won’t go down without a fight. They’re embedded, calculated, and deadly. They meet in secret, silencing threats, forging alibis, and manipulating investigations. Not to mention - help from the inside in Ben Gilroy.”

Do we think that’s just flavour, or actually clues?

As in, “embedded, calculated and deadly” could imply three wolves with powers; embedded is someone who peeks good. Deadly is a wolf vig. Not sure about calculated.

Likewise, “silencing threats” could again point to a wolf vig. The other two could also both point to a baddie having the power to peek good.

Could be flavour writing just using the Rule of Threes though. Or could mean three wolves?

Afternoon all, we have been told that the strike team have an inside man have we not? And on top of that there would have to be Vic, Shane and Curtis which in my mind would be Alpha, Seer and Vig. Fits with what the above quote is saying where Alpha is embedded and peaks green, Vig is Deadly and Seer is calculating.

For flavour instead of a Seer it might be a Detective or a Cop but the result would be the result which is targeted and accurate Villager role elimination.

That said I suggest no ability claiming or hinting unless absolutely nessicary as you will be peeked and if you are bluffing the wolves will know but the village will not.

12-4 is up agaisnt it. I'd of thought 13-3 would be more balanced. But what Angus says also makes sense.

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 4,006 ✭✭✭Angus WW

Yeah but we can't not have Vic we can't not have Shane and we can't not have Curtis and still call it a Shield game.

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 4,830 ✭✭✭Derry WW

The Ben Gilroy thing seems too specific to be flavour. Not sure how they would help the Strike team in the game though.

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 3,118 ✭✭✭Frank WW

That's fair ha. I never heard of any of them so I wouldn't of missed them 🤣🤣

He's a source of information so maybe he's a npc that feeds info to Vic. Or maybe he's a pc that can help the wolves with info and voting but counts as a villager for win cons.

It's Necro and Trig so it will be something cool anyway.

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 4,830 ✭✭✭Derry WW

I suppose the OP could be read that way, it's slightly amibigious. He wasn't exactly a member of the strike team in the series, but he was above them. I can't mechanistically understand how he would help the strike team if not a wolf.

But the Strike Team won’t go down without a fight. They’re embedded, calculated, and deadly. They meet in secret, silencing threats, forging alibis, and manipulating investigations. Not to mention - help from the inside in Ben Gilroy.

Ben is helping them, then he is also a wolf, so 4 wolves, Vic Ben Shane and Lemmy

    Afternoon all.

Haven't seen this show at all. Dont think I've played a werewolf game where I've seen the show linked to the theme.

Cops and robbers basically with some corrupt cops?

Anywho, 16 players, so a 13-3 split seems fair to me, even though I see others have said flavour might suggest 4 wolves.

Also like the blackout period. Won't have to wake up to 80 posts of midnight ramblings to read.

afternoon all. I’m not familiar with the show tbh so I’m going to be figuring out the references as I go along. Only Ben gilroy I know of is that lad who ran for election a few years back.
