I think 13 points from our last 3 games could put us in with a chance of top 8. It really is a great league.

...Was meant quote post about Carty playing best when there was no competition...

Yep, KKeane seemed to realise that. That was definitely Carty's best period and KK rarely had an outhalf option on the bench.

    I don't think it is that….

Jack was effectively dropped when Mark was bedding in a system. Jack plays closer to the line and trys deceptive passes to unlock the line more… This is what Jack believes we need to unlock defences.

When the team doesn't understand the system and isn't there, those passes are cringeworthy… Jack was throwing a lot to fresh air. Pete seemed to want to drop him rather than work with him as you most proven asset at 10…

    We suffered…

Connacht players will win if you fight as same as the match vs Sharks. Carty must not any direct touch kicking, and Oliver must keep the off-side line without self-judging.

All over the place defensively and look weirdly out on their feet ten minutes in. This could get ugly.

Looked lively at the beginning but no points to show for it.

The altitude already seems to be troubling them too.

Jansen got a nasty belt there hope he is ok.

Got lucky with that missed conversion

Unless there was a second penalty caller that wasn’t heard/noticed on ref mic or by commentators, that penalty was given just inside the half but the kick at goal was a good ten metres forward from the spot?
Injuries starting to pile up here unfortunately

O Connor looking injured now too.

Bolton looks to be absolutely wrecked already too

There are a lot of injuries and lads hobbling around the field. That has to take its toll eventually, not very optimistic here.

They look like they have played 80 minutes already

Holly Davidson is an excellent ref.

Jack hobbling now too has taken a lot of contact.

Yeah always think she is good and very clear in communication etc

Pretty lucky to be only 11-0 at half time. Fairly abject so far

after a really good game of rugby last week this is a shocking game

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,588 ✭✭✭testtech05

As of now the slim chances of sneaking into the top 8 look like going down with a whimper unless they find a spark from somewhere

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,588 ✭✭✭testtech05

Are heff and Finlay late withdrawals from the squad completely

    Nice maul try.

Tmo is out to get us today. He was the ref last week as well I think. Didn't do us any favours there either.

    Chalked off

Possibly one the worst games iv watched. Countless mistakes

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,588 ✭✭✭testtech05

Very poor alright. Had hoped that try before it was disallowed might spark something but not to be.

Shocking defense again. Cordero I think it was with the last tackle badly missed. Thought Hawkshaw took a high hit before that.

On the replay the winger tied cordero in a knot and left him on his ass never laid a hand on him

Dreadful game and Connacht's worst performance of the season….

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,588 ✭✭✭testtech05

That's a big call considering how bad we have been for most of the season

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 467 ✭✭Former Coach

Well Lions are poor and we haven't even threatened their line. I assume you're not suggesting we've been good??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,588 ✭✭✭testtech05

Oh definitely not. Terrible performance but we have had more than a few of them this season. The loss to Ulster B team in Galway comes to mind anyway. Forde will be off injured now too after that nasty collision

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,588 ✭✭✭testtech05

Some awful braindead penalties being given away too. Thought Josh Murphy has tidied up that side of his game but that was a very poor one there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 467 ✭✭Former Coach

We've had lots of decent possession but we've been turned over way too many times. No threat in attack at all.

Poor colm Reilly seems to have picked up a very serious injury now.

1 away win since April 24 just mentioned on premier sports. Terrible
