    #MEGA MAKE EUROPE GREAT AGAIN

Zelensky seemed pleased post meeting - let’s “hope” indeed- feels like the only thing left- that and divine intervention - it would give trumps Catholic vote a boost in the US if it does come to pass and he’d be dining out on the “God” story forever more.

    Navy blue suit, not blue.

Navy or black is perfectly fine for a funeral. Storm in a tea cup stuff.

Of course its a storm in a teacup. Everything else is too overwhelmingly serious to contemplate. Beside, if Obama could be berated for a tan suit, surely Trump wearing a blue suit to a funeral is worth a mention?

Honestly, Biden and Obama ramblings aside, he's so close to getting it.

That can only be encouraging, but I just don't trust him.

Rambling, petulant, childish social media posts, from a President! What a way to run a country. Pathetic. He has no dignity.

From the people who lost their sh*t over a war time President not wearing a suit in the White House, that's rich.

What's your take on Trump more and more showing he doesn't know what's going on? Did you read his Time magazine interview?

China's position is clear, remove the 145%, than we start to talk. Their spokesman has already said "He who tied the bell should untie it"
They will never want to talk first because they don't need to. "remove the tariff, and we can have a negotiation"

"The US should stop creating confusion" is a PC way of saying "Trump, stop bullshitting already!!".

Trump is having imaginary conversations with China and making deals with himself!! he is demented. More so than Biden ever was. He is probably is sitting by the phone waiting for it to ring. He must be having flashbacks to high school.

Meanwhile the US stock market is expecting Chinese tariffs to be lowered by Monday.

On April 2nd, 60% of Americans assumed that the Tariffed countries would be paying the tariffs. Probably include Trump and half of his cabinet in that statistic.

Now it's 38%, so the penny is slowly dropping. Even among the total MAGA imbeciles.

In other words, he's kinda near the realisation that everybody else in the world had in February 2022. This is not reassuring.

The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the LORD your God.

Most humorously anyone can say that Trump agreed with them knowing that either Trump wasn't listening, wasn't interested, or opposed, but no one will be sure as the orange buffoon said he didn't remember calling zelensky a dictator.

Trump is as likely tomorrow to award Putin the first Trump Peace Prize.

He has no intention of getting it.

If he ever had he would have recognised that his good buddy Vladimir is the aggressor who started this war by invading Ukraine.

He is only making mumblings now because after all his boasting about ending this war on day one and a proposed peace plan that would give Putin 20% of Ukraine, Putin is still stringing him along and making him look like an absolute fool.

He has no intention of doing anything to upset Putin and is now hoping to be thrown a bone to cover the embarrassment of Putin knowing he is not going to do anything to pressure him to stop.

Wouldn't be surprised if Trump is now helping Putin with more than intel.

Given his usual habit of backtracking on what he said publicly, I expect that when he's alone, he will do a Gollum, have a chat with himself and then post on Truth Social that Zelenskyy is the one keeping the war going.

CNN had several other photos of the meeting between Zelenskyy and Trump, one with a senior churchman in the background while they were seated, the second photo of them standing in a huddle with Macron and Starmer in the room. There was no indicator if it was taken before or after the seated chat.

There's the zero tariffs. There's the more than a suggestion that Russia be allowed to keep territorial gains in Ukraine. There's the dismantling of cyber security. There's no new sanctions against Russia like there were on all the previous anniversaries of the invasion.

I can't recall a single comment or move by Trump that has treated Russia worse than any other country.

I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out that Ukraine is spending more on American weapons to keep the Americans onside.

Zelensky offered to buy Patriots for fifteen billion. A big no from Trump.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,988 ✭✭✭yagan

I think it more likely that zelensky is more driven to coax Krasnov to not give Russia more aid, as Germany and other European members are the more reliable suppliers now.

Trump has no loyalty other than to himself, so it's a matter of persuading him that backing Russia despite his daddy crush on Putin will only tarnish his legacy and reduce the chance of having an airport named after himself.

    Vain, addled, and increasingly senile.

Trump is an inveterate grifter: maybe he thinks that if Zelenskyy wants those missiles so badly, he should just pay the appropriate "handling fee" (bribe) to Trump to make it happen. Trump has his crypto scam all set up for this kind of "transaction".

But mostly I think the missiles getting blocked was down to appeasing Putin.

Judges getting arrested, constant chaos under his administration but this is what is comment worthy? Strange. Actual weaponisation of the FBI is fine clearly.

My take is he wore blue to stand out . He wouldn’t like not to be seen or overlooked

I would lay money on it that he owns a black suit and chose not to wear it on purpose

Even his wife wore black with a black mantilla

I'm not sure, I saw a post on social media earlier, that the US had its biggest tax take of the year to date and all the MAGA heads barrelled in crowing about finally having a president that gets how to run an economy. Not one person interjected to point out that all that money had come out of Americans pockets. Bunch of sheep

In fairness there's not much lately where you can defend Trump, they take the slim pickings they have 😁

Reports today that the Trump administration has deported 4 children who are all US citizens. Including one who is an active cancer sufferer who was deported without consideration of their disease.

This is exactly why due process is an absolute requirement. The Trump administration deserves to be held in the utmost contempt for how they're treating people.

If a Democrat did 1/8th of the anti-constitution acts that this Republican is doing, the Republicans in congress would be declaring a state of emergency.

He will distract from it by blaming Biden and Zelensky for everything tomorrow no doubt.

How do you deport a US citizen? This is what happens when the loons are given carte blanche.

And you know, all the leaders, princes, presidents, they all came up to me after, that thing with the Pope, you know, after that, they call came over to me, all the leaders, and told me what a great sleep I had, that it was the best sleep they'd ever seen, no wonder America would be great again with such a doozy sleepy head running things. They were nice, all nice, very nice about it, telling me, jealous even, of the great sleep, probably the best sleep ever seen in the whole world, all of the world you know, not just that little place in Italy, but the whole world. And it was, it was, a great sleep.

    @Tell me how

The Trump administration deserves to be held in the utmost contempt for how they're treating people.

    In principle, absolutely.

However, we know that neither Trump or anyone in his administration are particularly scared of being held in contempt. Actually, they're not scared of it at all because the machinery is no longer in place to translate that contempt into some kind of real legal jeopardy. Both the director of the FBI and the head of the justice dept are foaming-at-the-mouth MAGA merchants.

Don't expect any due process to stop Trump. This is exactly what he and his enablers are targeting. Only a popular uprising or heavily coordinated international pressure would move the needle.

You run out the line that the mother of the US child citizen asked the federal authorities if she could take the child with her and they said yes. Blame the mother…

Ref the remark from Trump asking the world if maybe Putin was stringing him along about the Ukraine war and wanted to continue it, the thought struck me that maybe Trump actually once spoke honestly on what he really thought were Putin's intentions for Ukraine. It's a pity that it took a visit to the Vatican to attend the pope's funeral for him to have a moment of honesty with the world, somewhat of a miracle, so to speak….

Helps increase the deportion figure 5 fold! I mean they gotta pad the numbers to get to the 21mil Trump claimed Biden let in!

In March 2025, ICE deported (legally & illegally) 12,300, the same figure in 2024 (under Biden) was 12,700.

Exactly what's happening according to reports

In a statement sent to CBS News, the BBC's US partner, Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said that "the parent made the decision to take the child with them to Honduras."

"It is common that parents want to be removed with their children," she added.
