[Resolved] 6 month ban applied in CA forum.

Yeah. Actually two mods responded. One was sympathetic. The other referred me here. I’m happy to take the ban under ordinary circumstances, but this is totally disproportionate.

Only getting to a desktop now. Here's the exchange with MOD who banned me. Like I say below, I didn't post an anecdote. I posted a light-hearted fact about my family, in response to being repeatedly accused of being a supporter of the great replacement theory. I feel like I've been very unfairly targeted vs. posters who are repeatedly making false and malicious allegations. Would appreciate a review and if possible, repealing the 6-month ban, which I feel is unjust and hugely dis-proportionate.

It’s blatantly obvious what’s going on here. Others can accuse me of supporting the great replacement theory and I get banned. Why are you so terrified of different opinions? Can you answer that?

The warning has nothing to do with the great replacement theory.

Anecdotes aren't permitted in that thread, there's a mod note in the OP, that mod note is indicated in the thread title and all anecdotes are actioned. Anecdotes can neither be verified nor refuted, so they do not support an argument.

Appeal submitted. It’s not an anecdote. It’s a verifiable fact. Seriously though, as a moderator, how can you justify that kind of carry on, when other posters troll, bait, and post all sorts of egregious nonsense repeatedly. I’m not particularly bothered as I’m not a prolific poster, but it is killing a site that’s already on it’s last legs.

I only ever post in CA and one of the sporting forums. There is an equivalent, if not superior forum related to that sport on Reddit. Given that I will never be able to post to CA again whilst the current moderation team is in situ, I have no desire to continue contributing to boards.

Can you go ahead and close my account or point me to where I can initiate this myself?
