I'm as proud of our past achievements as anyone but no county is entitled to success just on past achievements alone. There's people in Cork who are twenty years of age who have still yet to see us win Liam McCarthy sadly. As for the current championship structure i'm not a fan of the round robin format at all. Get rid of it and move the all Ireland finals back to August.

    Well we're agreed on something.

Starting the championship in April is ridiculous.

It could be snowing next weekend.

    Whole thing feels rushed.

Thought Tipp were very good today and as you said they never dropped the heads when things weren’t going their way. As a Kilkenny man I have no problem saying Noel McGrath is one of my favourite players of all time, a joy to watch and an absolute gentleman.

Interesting interview, Lohan said the wind was instrumental in the comeback.

The wind helped them win their puckouts.

Cork 500,000 population, 37 All Irelands in both codes.

Kilkenny 100,000 population 36 All Irelands.

Would that not suggest Cork are the great underachievers in GAA?

I'd love to hear your reply.

At present I think Cork are flaky, and maybe a bit dainty. When they're tightened down and the going gets tough they tend to go missing.

Some matches today, looks like another super competitive Munster championship. Hope Waterford can step up too. Bring it on.

Limerick are the biggest underachievers in Irish GAA

Nothing of note til a few years ago.

Galway and Clare not too far behind.

Didn't mention the diving or goading Cork players to get them sent off.

    Quelle surprise.

20 years without a senior hurling All Ireland is desperately poor for a county with the playing population and number of clubs as Cork.

You can tell it's really hurting you. As Milton would say you're 'Vaunting aloud, but racked with deep despair'. A lot of noise.

I feel like I am coming out of a lot of Limerick games thinking "disjointed and sloppy". Even in 22 and 23 I was frustrated leaving a lot of games. Teams have adapted and stifled our passing game and also are now closing down and harassing to the same level as us.

Still winning most championship games but more and more by fine margins.

    Not at all

Ive seen my county win every thing

    Impressive quoting John Milton .

    Oliver Cromwell's spin doctor.

    Makes you look smug .

    Congratulations mission accomplished.

That was a cruel irony Limerick giving up the win with a foul handpass

great to see the quality today, Clares great comeback and tipp playing well is great to see.
Waterford will also be hard beat and I would not be surprised if they get out of Munster. They have some great hurlers and people sometimes forget that.

They were unlucky last year, they should have beat tipp but did not have the killer instinct to just go for it. I blame last years management for that.

Why did you sign up here? Your posts offer nothing. They sound like they're coming from Cork's equivalent of an Orange man.

The past is the past. Cork aren't a reliable bet to win an All Ireland for 20 years in hurling.

You're going on about Clare and Limerick being inferior GAA counties. Yet in 3 attempts, twice in 2013 and last year you failed to win against Clare in an All Ireland.

You've been on the pot 3 times, no stool. In fairness you produce a lot of stool.

It was refreshing to see Thomas Walsh have the gonads to pull up O'Donoghue's thrown hand pass at the end. Just goes to show that refs can use the rulebook to help stamp out the biggest scourge the game of hurling has ever seen.

Hopefully the assessors will use Walsh's late call as an example now and support refs to stamp it out, and even allow refs to err on the side of caution for insufficient ball-hand separation with hand passes.

The game in Ennis was looking a bit flat until the blistering last 10-15 minutes.

It would have been one for the ages had Clare won it.

I reckon though they wouldn't have deserved it on how dreadful they were in the first half.

Cork had more about them throughout the entire match.

Cork looked like they were better defensively and a lot more hard working in the first half compared to years gone by. Before they were cut through easily and would miss 3 or 4 tackles. It seemed today that even if they missed 1 they were doing enough to make it harder for players to get a shot off.

Their movement up front was also top notch but then their discipline completely fell apart in the 2nd half and they almost got caught.

I reckon though its a wake up call both sides needed and they'll be happy with how it ended.

Clare have work to do. There's a few veterans in the team and maybe last season has done for them.

Cork still have 2 home games to come and much like Kerry footballers last night needed a game like this heading into the other challenges. Of all 5 teams they look to be best placed to qualify right now. And probably would be still even if they had lost.

Clare and Limerick are inferior GAA counties

This is a new level of immaturity.
