I feel like I am coming out of a lot of Limerick games thinking "disjointed and sloppy". Even in 22 and 23 I was frustrated leaving a lot of games. Teams have adapted and stifled our passing game and also are now closing down and harassing to the same level as us.

You're going on about Clare and Limerick being inferior GAA counties. Yet in 3 attempts, twice in 2013 and last year you failed to win against Clare in an All Ireland.

The game in Ennis was looking a bit flat until the blistering last 10-15 minutes.

It would have been one for the ages had Clare won it.

I reckon though they wouldn't have deserved it on how dreadful they were in the first half.

Cork had more about them throughout the entire match.

Cork looked like they were better defensively and a lot more hard working in the first half compared to years gone by. Before they were cut through easily and would miss 3 or 4 tackles. It seemed today that even if they missed 1 they were doing enough to make it harder for players to get a shot off.

Their movement up front was also top notch but then their discipline completely fell apart in the 2nd half and they almost got caught.

I reckon though its a wake up call both sides needed and they'll be happy with how it ended.

Clare have work to do. There's a few veterans in the team and maybe last season has done for them.

Cork still have 2 home games to come and much like Kerry footballers last night needed a game like this heading into the other challenges. Of all 5 teams they look to be best placed to qualify right now. And probably would be still even if they had lost.
