Easter egg hunt laid out. Had to remember to count how many eggs were put out....that has been a problem in the past 😂

Ahhh cute. This was never a thing in my house, the Easter bunny isn't done round these parts. I was in England last year for Easter and it was my first time being part of an Easter egg hunt.

Don't forget to squirrel away some for the adults too!

We didn't have it growing up either, but it's a bit of fun. The youngest is a bloodhound.

They are very good at sharing so plenty to go around.

Watching Ireland am and she's making an Easter Bunny cake.

I've never seen such a mess and I'm including my own creations!

Was up early, had a nice breakfast, took dogs for a walk, then demolished a really nice Twirl Easter egg with a cup of tea.

    Happy Easter, everyone! 🐣🙂

In the living room, recovering from the duck breast I had for lunch. Of course, with the day it is, that means that now it”s…

    … mallet time 🤪

Good luck trying to figure me out. I haven't managed that myself yet!

Very fancy with the mallet, I just whacked the egg off the table to break it before opening it. 😂

    Happy Easter, Everyone 😀🐰🍫🍬
A lovely friend of mine sent me this during the week, so I will be getting stuck into it later 😀👍❤️

Got one of those still waiting for me here. It’s on the chopping block for tomorrow here! 😃

Ended up doing the same. The belt armour on this Cadbury egg was just too thick 🫠

Good luck trying to figure me out. I haven't managed that myself yet!

I'm a wuss. I eat the mini Caramel eggs. They're my guilty pleasure. I'm not a massive chocolate fan but I love caramel so a nice compromise.

To be fair, I didn't even consider these ostrich-scale chocolate eggs until my former employer started sending these out during the lockdowns as part of their regular care packages. It's just not a thing back in Germany, the eggs there are much smaller, think the small Lindt chocolate eggs.

Good luck trying to figure me out. I haven't managed that myself yet!

Sorry for spamming, but I just had to share this.

I recently got back into Galaxy Zoo, which is a citizen science project that effectively crowdsources the classification of galaxies taken by survey missions such as Euclid or that were caught by JWST. You know, is it a spiral galaxy, an elliptical one, or a complete car crash (i.e. an irregularly shaped galaxy)? How many spiral arms can you see? How big is the central bulge if there is one, etc., you get the idea. This classification is beyond the realm of machine learning at the moment, and the classifications provided makes it easier for astrophysicists to find particular types of galaxies for further research.

The interesting part about this project is that the person classifying a galaxy might be the very first human being to ever take a look at that particular galaxy. Most of the galaxies that show up are just faint fuzzy blobs that have almost no visible details, simply because they're so far away. Every now and then however, you come across a beauty shot like the one below:

    Screenshot 2025-04-20 at 18.29.28.png

That's a JWST image, by the way, captured with the NIRCAM instrument on the telescope.

Good luck trying to figure me out. I haven't managed that myself yet!

That would actually be perfect for me...plus I love Lindt ❤️

    Couchside

I love that feeling when you have a crush on someone, and you get a WhatsApp from them, your heart skips a beat, and you're smiling to yourself 😀

Spent most of the day in the Phoenix Park at various activities including a walk through Farmleigh house. Spent the easter egg money, and more, on plants at the sale, longer lasting and better for the environment, not to mention the waistline. Thinking of JubiterKid and how lucky he is to have it on his doorstep.

I remember there used to be those small galaxy 'truffle' eggs, absolutely filthy gorgeous but I've not seen them in an age
