32% of the eligible electorate voted for trump... And there's a huge element of turkeys voting for Christmas. Also I'd strongly suspect many are rejecting that vote at this point.

The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the LORD your God.

Ah Ben Meiselas, the man that can turn a ten word NYT headline into a ten minute video. The revolution will be monetised.

And of course don't forgot to like, subscribe, leave a comment and buy the merch.

    Except Mugabe fought for freedom.

Trump fought for nothing, he's just a convicted rapist.

I was thinking more of what he'll do to the currency. They'll all be zillionaires.

The US is willing to recognise Crimea as Russian apparently.

It's a massive crush or Vlad has pee tapes.

Probably in the hope that it will be enough for Vlad to see it as a victory and to pull back. If this happens, I'd say there'll also be a condition to block Ukraine from joining NATO.

It's sickening stuff from Trump and Rubio and is something that would make every US President since WW2 be disgusted at what has happened.

Saw a clip from yesterday of Trump in the oval office telling people he doesn't know what the Congo is "I don't know what that is."

Also, Denmark media is reporting that the Trump admin bribed Greenlanders to appear as his supporters as part of a photo op in Greenland a couple of weeks back. Of course, Trump pretended to be his own PR person years ago so we know never to accept what he presents as true as being the case.

I say it again. This clown has had more examples of his inability for that office in 3 months than Biden had in 4 years!

If that's really the case, you've put more effort into finding excuses for Trump than Trump has put in to being president.

Ha even the Pope doesn't want anything to do with them, he skipped a meeting with Vance and sent his number 2 instead.

He has various gang tattoos, that suddenly the press won't show, he's an illegal immigrant in the USA, has a barring order against him by his wife due to brutal assault and is a known gang offiliate, please tell me which part you support?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 304 ✭✭REDBULL68

He has the tats ,media won't show them now ,it's all about Trump done this and that ,the usual bull, his wife has a barring order against him due to battery, and he's a known gang officiate, which part of him are you supporting?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,801 ✭✭✭EltonJohn69

well you do copy and paste “your opinions” from Twitter so being active on this thread shouldn’t be too much of a drain on your time…..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,381 ✭✭✭Wolf359f

I think people don't support the fact he wasn't given due process.

All those gang tattoos, assault, being a member of a gang etc… are all alleged, once he's in front of a judge in the US, ICE etc.. can hammer those allegations with the evidence to the judge and then he can be given his due process.

Imagine that, all those people screaming for due process, the Trump administration can strongly request the El Salvadorian government extradite him to get his due process and if the evidence is as cut and shut as they say, they can easily put the issue to bed and legally deport him. Case closed and all the media focus around these deportation ends.

Now ask yourself why the Trump administration haven't gone down that route and would rather be found in criminal contempt?

49.8% of the Americams who voted, voted for Donald Trump on Nov 5th. A quick Google will prove this point correct.

Now if you could please prove that all of Donald Trump's base is stupid and full of hatred??

i imagine this won't be a problem for you as it would be a shame and worrying development for a moderator to be posting vindictive falsehoods about a whole voter base.

I patiently await your reply. My inbox is also open if you would rather take the conversation privately to stop filling the thread.

My suspicions are though that you will post a snidey one liner and not back your position, I will get some sort of infraction for this post, leaving the echo chamber that this thread is to continue churning out hatred without any opposition.

They support all of them as long as it's the opposite of what Donald Trump says.

Its the US president, not a fecking cooking show. You can't just go 'errors were made, lessons learned' as the president after collapsing the economy and more.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,232 ✭✭✭✭extra gravy

Funny, the "errors were made, lessons learned' excuse was never afforded to Biden. Yet Felon47 can make as many catastrophic errors as he wants and he's given a free pass by the fan club. As I said previously, his defenders aren't serious people, just idiots, trolls & sycophants.

    A gang officiate? Sounds formal!

I don't think anybody has a problem with someone going to prison if found guilty of a crime

Law and punishment is all about precedence. Anybody approaching this in good faith can see wider than this single case when it comes to the precedence it sets

The Trump administration has said he was deported in error. What do you think the government should do when they deport people in error, in general?

It's a strange one alright. This guy sounds like someone you wouldn't want to invite round for dinner, yet he's the one chosen to be the standard bearer against this?

When NACCP decided to push a test case on segregation in Montgomery they chose Rosa Parks. This wasn't because she was first to refuse to move on the bus, it was because she was the ideal candidate. She was a firm, respected and respectable woman that couldn't have any mud thrown at her to discredit her.

Despite the absence of due process being genuinely troubling here, the US public are not going to fall behind a wife beating man that sports gang tattoos.

    Nobody is falling behind anyone.

It's the principle of due process and adhering to the constitution that is the issue.

Repeating nonsense does not mitigate it being nonsense. Since you're clearly twisting my words, I won't engage further.

    That's the whole point

If you want to start deporting people and imprisoning them abroad without due process, you don't start by picking up a liberal LGBT+ protest leader off the street and doing that first, you obviously pick someone who would appear unsavoury to most

Then the reaction can be "yeah he didn't get due process but he's probably a bad guy so it works out"

And this is clearly working as some of the posters here have fallen for it, as have a huge amount of Americans

Start turning a blind eye to this and guess who's next? US Citizens:

The president said he loves the idea of sending U.S. citizens to El Salvador. “I would only do according to the law,” Trump said. “But I have suggested that, you know, ‘Why should it stop just at people who cross the border illegally?’ We have some horrible criminals, American-grown and born.”

When some people actually start realising what's happening it will be too late

But I fully expect they'll continue to Bury their heads in the sand and double down in the meantime because they're either too proud to climb down or literally can't understand why it's not OK for tattooed man to be in prison right now after an admitted error with no release date

You can't start out deporting political prisoners, you have to get people used to the idea of deportation without trial by starting on people the general public don't care about so much.
