Who fears to speak of September 214 ?

When the feck did people start referring to years in this manner ?

Overall, a brutal week on LiveLine.

I'd be surprised if we see Joe for the entirety of next week. I'd say he's killed out with having to do that extra day.

Had to laugh when Marty said he didn't have a car …

    ______

In the end they were just greedy, they all knew one another and knew what to expect more money for no return, it was a secure cash flow, but in fairness they looked for what they wanted and fair dues to them for that, and wouldn't you be doing the same!

Just one more thing .... when did they return that car

I'd always wanted to make a full size Easter egg that had its insides full with Creme Egg inards.

You have to wear ear protection when the noise level in a workplace is over 90 decibels or when Brenda Donohue visits

We need a caller to say when they die they want to be dipped head-to-toe in their favourite chocolate, or their ashes interred in a chocolate urn/Easter egg/chocolate bar.

A pessimist says things can't get any worse. An optimist says "Oh yes they can".

    Same!

Sometimes I think you and I were twins separated at birth.

Aw that was a walk down memory lane with all those names of choc bars from the past. I'm not a regular listener but that was nice listening for an hour!

I can't believe that someone said her father's name was Tom Cruise and the Big Guy didn't follow up, particularly since he was in such a giddy mood.

Ray playing clip from Liveline on 11 Sept 2001 and plane crashings

It has been some time since I have been able to engage.

Do you think Joes contract will be extended?

If he was leaving I assume he would let people know sooner rather than later

Another 2 year extension, I pray

I am really on the fence when it comes to the future of Joe.

On the one hand, Liveline is entertaining, often though for all the wrong reasons. If Joes contract is not extended, I would hope they give it to someone to make the show their own. Someone who has as much input in the topics and schedule as Joe has and is not just given the topics at 13:42 and told to run with them(like some presenters I could mention).

If Joes replacement is to be katie Hannon, I think I will give up listening. Similarly, if they decided to just extend Ray by 75 minutes I would give up.

So, I suppose I would prefer Joe stays if the alternative is Katie or Ray.

I wonder does Louise Duffy have any aspirations to be more than a DJ? I have interacted with her a couple of times over email and she is delightful. She's articulate(read coherent) and empathetic. She could be great in a current affairs phone in program that does not cover the major issues of the day while is not dealing with the fluff of some of the other shows.

Callans Kicks did a very funny skit this week with Joe and Jennifer Eyebrows.

He's probably in his French chateau already so he can just hop on the train.

    President Pope Joe

A Pope death is a potential all-timer for Duffy. Add in an Irish fella as Camerlengo and it's steak every evening for the next month at Duffy towers.

Just need to get an Irish pub in the Vatican and he's sorted.

Probably dragging everyone in to the studio already on a day off. (He'll be in around half one as usual though)

Fr Iggy live on Newstalk was not aware until "a few minutes ago when I got a call from you" 😃

Derek Mooney is poaching all Joe's potential callers

Mary McAleese claims she knew Francis was going to die today. I hope she popped down to Paddy Power.

Joe; "…we'll go over live to Bernie from Clontarf in the Big Muff Irish pub just outside the Vatican City…"
