You could certainly argue a more pragmatic approach to this season coyote have seen us better in the pl. Could a more standard 4231 have suited the players we have this season more?

Its a fair question. I question how valuable the lessons we have learned re. this system in the last month are, tbh.

But long term, I don't think the system is the issue on its own. It may be an issue right now with these players but I think people saying it can't work at all are wrong. Inter are in the semi of the CL with a similar set. Leverkusen win BL and the EL last season similarly.

On the way back from Old Trafford. I have lost my voice. Not sure I will be able to sleep after that. Incredible atmosphere in the stadium.

Amorim saying he felt sorry for the fans who had to leave at 2-4 because of the traffic. Laughed out loud at that.

I don’t think anyone is really saying he has to go.

I think people are saying if things don’t start to improve, it won’t be a surprise if he gets the bullet sooner or later. No matter the circumstances, you can’t keep having bad results and bad performances and expect to stay in the job.

I don’t think getting rid of him is the answer, he needs at least one decent transfer window and pre-season to be really judged, but poor performances and poor results won’t get him that.

Had it stayed 4-2 and we limped out and he got sacked, I don’t think anyone would have said it wasn’t coming given the results and performances.

As it was, we did come back brilliantly and still have a chance of getting something massive from the season, there’s still hope.

But that doesn’t mean we can’t ask questions as to why so often we fall apart, get ripped open again and again, or barely scrape by teams we should, on paper at least, be beating comfortably.

And he’s been there since November, it’s not like he’s just in the door.

As much as he needs time and support, RA also needs to start getting things going, if this is the best he can bring to United, he won’t be lasting long, and shouldn’t.

    🥱

You wanted him out before we turned it around.

Delighted for Amorim and Bruno especially. The thought crossed my mind as the penalty was being taken that we need to be fighting for something to keep top talent and attract more. Been a rollercoaster season but that’s bought another couple of big nights at a minimum.

I haven't been this exhausted after watching a sporting event since Sunday night...

Mad game.. was cursing and blinding at 4-2 and absolutely euphoric at full time.

    Love this club!

Let’s face it, you could rewind back to 2022 and keep Ralf Rangnick on, you do nothing, and we’re in the same position, or let’s say we got Klopp, or Pep, or Ancelotti at that time, nothing of great significance changes with our results or position.

Calling for a manger change at this point just seems so obviously morainic, it’s like we’ve been on a punctured boat, and people keep blaming the guy with the bucket who’s doing the emptying, you sack him, and bring in a new bucket guy, he gets tired and you do the same, sack him, and bring in someone else, again, and again, and again…., and people are more than happy to keep blaming and replacing the bucket guy..

It sure will. I'm a united fan since 84. That is up there with the most insane comebacks I've ever seen from United team. What a crazy game. Love this club.

‘Leadership is defined as the ability of an individual, group, or organization to lead, influence, or guide other individuals, teams, or organizations.’

I must’ve missed the part where leaders never fail

That Bilbao game will be unbelievably hard but we have players coming back from injury now.

Do we think we'll have the likes of Heaven and De Ligt back before it?

RA has to now wrap our players in bubble wrap for the rest of the PL season

It's tragic that some lads have just based there whole Utd supporting personality on chasing managers out of the club!

Its been funny watching the last few weeks of trying to whip yourselves into a half hearted frenzy while his song is being sung in the stadium at the same time, reminds of a child trying to annoy itself enough to throw a full on tantrum

He is literally talking down the camera at you and saying the exact same things need changing that are said in here every day and that he'll do it....

but no let's f*!k him off and get another manager on the Man Utd merry go round

At least you can then say with your immense football knowledge that you called it before anyone else!

Bilbao will be tricky but thought they were very poor in Ibrox.

Beatable but we will need be on song

Some shower of misery hunters in here. Won't stop til you've hounded Amorim out if a job before he even gets a chance to buy his own players.

For all those clever sorts bleating on about how he should change his system to keep his job... How many times does it have to be pointed out that he was specifically brought in by INEOS, to play that system. If he ditched it and moved to 433 etc he'd probably be at a higher risk of losing his job because he'd be defying the mandate he was brought in with.

We have problems for sure. But be honest, how many of the goals we've conceded lately have been due to the dreaded system and how many have been ridiculous individual errors?

Ruben and the team need to figure out why we sh*t the bed so much, never mind changing formation to the same one that had us in 13th already when he arrived.

I did, as did most fans to be fair. It looked like a mass exodus was starting, but most people just ended up standing and watching.

Just back at the hotel after the game, grim at 4 2 but had hope when the penalty was awarded. Lyon goalkeeper was such a prick. Delighted for him. It would have been a sickener to go out after been 2 up.. garnacho should have scored early second half but after that they went completely flat. Maguire was delighted. Should really galvanise the spirit in the team. Even cassimiro played his part. Drink time

we won a europa league quarter final. we should all be disgusted.

    are we like frogs?

I started supporting United when Tommy Doc was the manager.

United were a cup team from 75-92.

WE'VE reverted back to being a cup team for the last 12 years and I'll gladly take one this season.

Give Amorim time and enjoy the cup run.

We won a quarter final. In insane fashion. And we should be disgusted?

If we can't enjoy moments of madness amongst the decade of crap wtf are we doing? What's the point?

Cry and whinge until its a pl trophy. Great craic.
