Can we have a replay of them celebrating their penalty, please.

One thing I will disagree with RA about is Mainoo.

We need to build the team around him, he's pure class.

united fan and loved the end but those players are not good enough.
What gives them rhe right to be flicking it around when they are 2-0 up and not closing down.
They won’t win it. I know he scored at the end but maguire dodged a cross that led to a goal and was ridiculous one one one. I think he’s make a better striker.

Can't believe they turned that around.

To have messed up so badly to be 2 up to 4 - 2 down was down to incredible ineptness in defence by virtually everyone.

But Bruno and Casemiro deserve a huge amount of credit. They dragged us back into it.

The manner of the collapse continues to be hugely concerning. So many basic errors.

What a mad game, United threw it away and then Lyon threw it away

I was going to quote the great man but I see I’ve been beaten to the punch. Oh, what the hell:

    Football, bloody hell

That cokeback and Maguire with the final goal must've sickened the Amorim out crew.

I woke the wife up celebrating that. She's not happy with me, thought someone was seriously hurt.

You're not wrong but the last 5-6 pages are pure misery. Lets just enjoy this for a short while.

the capitulation still needs a diagnosis. do we have any leaders?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 48,040 ✭✭✭✭Mitch Connor

    Yup.

If he doesn't perfectly fit the initial plan, tweak the damned plan.

Shades of the Coventry game. Still some special moments following the club, even in the rough times.

Should have had it wrapped up after 70 mins and I say with a bit more up front, we would have. Fair play showing some resilience when it went to 4-2. Deserved the win over the two legs.

Some lads would want to hold off posting until the final whistle!

Shows how sh1te Lyon are tbf.

United should have had it sewn up in the first leg.

Some bloody drama all the same.

    Glazers Out!

Anybody in here talking about the manager being sacked during extra time of a quarter final or justifying fans leaving early need to seriously reconsider why they even support a football team. Talk about issues all you want during the week but surely when the game is ongoing you cheer the team and by extension the manager on. Otherwise what’s the point.
