Finally figured out why the ride was so bumpy !
Looks like the steel cords failed as there was plenty of thread left..

We had similar happen to pirellis after about 3 years on a car bought new.

What's the point of the thread OP? That tyre is clearly worn out so what's the issue? It's not faulty it's fit for recycling!

The tyre is perished, it's down to the wear indicator, and it looks like it's been driven on flat. Let it go.

Brcause you wouldn't put ripped tyres on a silage pit because they'd easily cut the plastic which would then allow air in.

I wouldn't even use that tyre in a presentation called "Worn, Perished Tyres that have been driven flat" because it would be too on the nose.
